I have Maddad Ultras, which are really nice. Though they are cheaper than Defi, they are still pretty pricey. They're accurate and have some cool features too. However, if you're getting them mostly for look, these may not be for you. They're a close match to the stock WRX cluster, which is what initially drew me to them. It sounds like you want something that shouts aftermarket, and these don't do that. I've had passengers surprised when they find out that I put them in. They're in the OEM pod, so that's a factor too. If it's just for show, you can't go wrong with Prosport. They have a tendency to crap out and lie to you, but they're bright and the needles move.

As for which ones to get, I chose to get boost, egt, and oil pressure. Those are the first 3 gauges most people get, and in my opinion, are the most important. I also have a wideband, which is good thing to have if you're going to do any tuning, but a nice one is expensive.

so prosport gauges arent good? i see people buying them on the forum and figured they should atleast be alright and do you have a picture of yours?? i know for sure i want a boost gauge to know what im boosting at all times and i just did not know what other ones people usually get so thats why i had that question...... and also i really like the way your gauges look the maddad ultras are very clean looking and thats what i like about them..... i just looked them up and now i really want them..... and for the price that they are... that is not bad at all

They are cheaper than the defis for sure and i do not want to buy the prosport if they are not accurate gauges btw todeswalzer those blitz gauges are sick and the maddad rx v2 are very nice as well.... damn i do not know which ones to buy now.... such a hard decision

The Prosports seem to work fine for some, but my experience with them was horrible. My boost gauge read very low. IIRC my peak boost was 4psi or something ridiculous. Their customer service was really good, but they didn't fix my problem. They promptly sent my a new sender that had the same problem. Then a few days later, the egt got erratic and took a dump. At that point, I decided to just rip them out. I have more info on the stuff in my blog. http://www.cgbagne.com/wrx/?tag=gauges I have a bunch of pictures in there too.

Anyways...Defi's FTW. I've had mine for over 2 years and they've been flawless. You'll wind up spending more money with cheap gauges because they usually come with garbage sensors that fail and have to be replaced. I'm not going to name anyone specifically, but just search around and you'll see TONS of threads with people's bad experiences with cheaper "budget" gauges. Just do it right the first time and get a quality gauge like Defi, Apex'i, Blitz, Greddy or something along those lines.
