MAKE SURE about that fact. Do not just ask for STi mounts, as Jeremy said there is a difference, and the standard mounts used on STi cars are the same as yours. Ask for the hardened mounts or Group N. People have been sold regular mounts, as STi mounts, thinking that they were the hardened mounts. THey got what they asked for, not what they wanted. Who do you blame?

MAKE SURE! Make the person on the other end SAY that the mounts that you are buying are the stiffer ones.

Default where to buy?

've noticed that a lot of vendors in the US purport to selling upgraded engine/tranny mounts. are they simply selling STi mounts? does anyone know where to get certifiable Grp N mounts for imprezas, specifically GC8's? thanks.

I believe www.challengerdeep.com also has them (and a little cheaper last time I checked)
and there are more.

I just bought some from COBB, $109 shipped to my door. This was for just the engine mounts (STi Group N).

What do you want to know? And more specifically, what mount does Vivid sell?

I was wondering if vivid's STI transmission mounts (which can be seen by visiting: http://www.vividracing.com/prod_engmisc.php
are acually stiffer then the stock mounts on the 2.5 RS.
In other words: Who has purchased STI tranny mounts from vivid and can confirm they are indeed stiffer than stock.

Cobb tuning seems to have the best deal on these mounts and that's where I got mine from. Simply amazing little things. I love mine... second favorite mod behind STI V5 suspension w/20mm swaybar.

Well by their description they're the hardened mounts. Plus if you look at it the rubber is solid and doesn't have the holes like the stock one does. You're in the clear my brother.

And Dolphin - Challenger Deep was $10-20 cheaper for the mounts than Cobb was when I priced them out.

squeeze the mount, if you can squeeze it then it's not the right mount...it should be damn near solid.

Default It's definatly stiffer!!!

Had my mount installed today, along with my exedy clutch and lightend flywheel. That little thing really does make shifting much nicer and also transmitts quite a bit of additional noise to the interior! Oh well I won't notice it after I install my exhaust.
