Default The answer to your question.

Stock exhaust. It is guaranteed to fit 100% and it is quiet.

I am thrilled with my 3" Brullen that replaced my very loud Pro1 exhaust. I even chose "medium" and they make one with more packing in the muffler that they label as "quiet" with no performance loss.

We can even order one with a resonator at no extra cost.

As far as exhausts that'll give you any kinds of performance advantage (meaning cat-back, at least)....

I'd say Brullen "quiet" version (probably dual-tip)....
Or the STi one.

From what I've heard/read, anyhow.

My Prodrive WR Sport exhaust. Sometimes I actually wish it was louder, but only sometimes. No midpipe available though.

My Magnaflow custom built one is pretty quiet....not intrusive or annoying at all. Its cat-back and also has a resonator built in.

Its louder than the STi muffler and the brullen quiet muffler... (probably better looking though, and cheaper )

a third vote for the prodrive. so quiet when you need it to be, and so mean sounding when you get on it.

ah yes, the only problem with prodrive is their sketchy availabilty in this country. try emailing luke @ tire rack, since they're starting to carry all of prodrive's stuff in the US.

Ive heard the MRT full exhaust (Header/Cat/Midpipe/Muffler). Unresonated this is the quietest performance exhaust I have ever heard. Resonated it would be even quieter. With unparalleled gains and an unpresidented price of $560 for everything listed above from parts@langstonsubaru.com I'd say your best choice would be the MRT route.

NYCshopper,

That is what i ordered on my 00RS when i purchased the car. Mine has the 2.5RS logo on the tip and made by BROSPEED. I used a customed mid pipe with resonator in winter and one without for the summer. NOT LOUD like some ricey car...
Go for it...worth it..

peace out,
Feng

Is that the one provided by the dealer? Or are you talking about another one?

ok...how's this....

i just got off the phone w/ the nice people at Greddy

they suggested that i purchase the exhaust silencer from

www.apexi.com

since it's for a 115mm tip same as the Greddy Evo...

they have it listed as $52 on there website...

supposely it doesnt sacrifce any performance....

Quote:
The Super Silencer is the most effective way to lower sound output from an exhaust system without sacrificing high-end power. The Silencer has also been shown to increase mid-range torque in some vehicles. The Silencer will lower average output muffler sound by approx. 7 dB.

Available for A'PEX mufflers utilizing 115 mm and 90mm tip.
so what you guys think?

Talk to Brian. He is one of the coolest people I have dealt with. And yes for all who are wondering the Full MRT Exhaust from the Engine all the way back to the muffler is $560 + shipping. You get everything pictured. I can't confirm this but I have heard MRT is now Ceramic Coating the Header section for better heat transfer and cat efficiency. I let you know when I get mine in another two weeks.

By the way the muffler tip is stainless steel. The reason it looks really funny in the picture is because it is covered with bubble wrap to keep from getting scratched in shipping. The single tip is pictured above (of course). They also allow you to choose a dual tip if you prefer.

Hey My99 2.5GT,

SO all of that for 560+shipping??? THAT is an awsome deal! Could you tell me a little more about them?

-Is the piping 2.25 or 2.5 (I am currently looking for a 2.5 piping)?

-How much gain is estmated on that system? As much as Brullen and Stromng?

-Is there a warrently like Brullens?

-Could I possible get it louder? Maybe as loud as the Brullen Med tone?

Thanks in advance! This looks like an EXCELLENT deal! Group buy anyone?!
