Default Victor's '05 STI - Cosworth Sleeved Gt35 - 649 whp on pump and meth

After a few tough to track down kinks on his car were resolved and a lengthy 1,000 mile break in at low boost, Victor's amazing STI was finally ready yesterday for final tuning with the sleeved full Cosworth long block and dyno runs and the long anticipated match up against his cousin's '08 Z06 vette with exhuast and other minor mods.

Here is the basic set up

Main Modifcations

Cosworth short block sleeved with AEBS Sleeves

Cosworth heads

Cosworth Cams

Cosworth Oil pump

Cowsorth oil pan and baffel

APS 3.5 " Exhuast

Perrin Gt35r turbo kit with 62mm compressor wheel

P & L Fuel rails 1000 injectors

Aquamist HFS5 meth injection

AEM EMS Tune by Dyno Flash

E Boost 2

Cusco extrenal oil cooler

Mishimoto Radiator

@ 31 psi and change - 94 IDC with the 1,000 injectors we reached 649 whp STD corrected. I think with 1200's it would approach 700 on race gas but the customer was satisfied with 649 - having played "Dyno or No Dyno" he proceeded to drive around his cousin's Z06 on the top end - kudos to team Subaru.

Looks like a nice build.

What was done to the Turbo (as i'm assuming it was upgraded by FP... (3586? HTA3582?)

Also, 1.06 hotside or .82??

Do you have a graph w/ Power/Torque/RPM and RPM/PSI?

This turbo as a FS 635 which is sold by Buschur and made by Precision Turbo - similar to the AMS gt850 also

The back housing is a .82 for now

We could not run the tack pick up as it flew off the radiator support every time the car came on boost - (optical pick up)

On the Evo side - the Bad Bish makes nearly the same power on 100% pump with a similar turbo (FP version) and we have several customers who also make in the 620 - 630 whp range on straight pump. On pump and meth we have several who are in the 700 whp range.

My main limitation on the Subaru side has been fueling as they need a ,ot more fuel than Evos and none of my customers have stepped up to 1600 injectors yet.

My STI will be running by tomorrow (i hope) so we'll see how close i can get to 700 on pump and meth

The You tube video of this car will be up in about an hour - its loading now - a good video IMHO

Are you guys EVER going to fix the ignition pickup on that dyno?

Seriously, that's such a cheap trick.

Funny vid tho

Did you mean to type 82? Even the GT30s use 71 and 76mm compressors...

Wow, fabulous car and setup. It is cars and videos like this that make me want to keep my STi instead of getting a vette! However, I have a feeling the Z06 is coming back with nitrous which is going to be a BIG problem on the highway. Anyway, congrats on the setup it is a great looking/running car.
