Thumbs up 1993 MR2 Turbo 89k GT3082r/AEM EMS/fuel mods.. White w/ T-TOPS

I am the 3rd owner and the vehicle is located in The Woodlands, TX. The car was recently tuned on wastegate boost pressure (Tial WG w/ 10psi spring) and made 178whp on a dyno dynamics dyno (approx 200whp on a dynojet). With a gm boost solenoid or some other method of boost control car is very capable of making ++300whp on a dynojet. Since having the below parts installed I have driven the vehicle approx 200miles. motor is very healthy, shifts smooth, has LSD, and pulls to redline in every gear very nicely for only 10psi. Asking $12,800 OBO.

Youtube video does not serve vehicle justice:

KO Racing GT3082R kit. (wastegate pipe vented to asmosphere)
850cc injectors
Walbro 255 fuel pump
Aeromotive FPR
AEM EMS
ACT 6-puck unsprung clutch
Berk Technology exhaust
KO custom intake - 9" cone filter w/ 4" pipe
Phoenix Power intercooler + SPAL fan
ChicoRaceWorks Axles
all new ignition components.
apexi bov
original engine w/ stock internals.

Suspension consists of eibach sportlines, and KYB struts.

Wheels are Volk GT-U's 18x7.5 +35 and 18x8 +35
Tires are BFG KDW's 215/35/18 on the front and 255/35/18 on the rear..front's have 85% tread, rears have approx 65% tread left.

Head gasket, t-belt tensioner, and timing belt, replaced at approx. 87k miles. work performed by Fred Haas Toyota dealership in Houston, TX. car built and tuned by Engine Logics in Houston, TX. I have a good bit of the receipts for a majority of the work performed on the car.

paint is a 7/10 ..interior is blue, and has wear and tear but overral decent condition for its age. i'd rate interior a 6/10. greddy boost gauge installed on a-pillar.

Bad:
1. Temp Gauge does not work. sending unit on block fell apart while disconnecting/reconnecting. replacement sensor is approx. $60-80
2. May not pass emissions but I could be wrong. only reason i say it may not pass is no cat(s) and rich idle. Passed two years ago w/o cats however was otherwise stock.
3. Right rim slightly bent due to uneven road and oxidation on all four lips of the wheels.
4. T-TOP seals need to be replaced.

I will update as missing items come to mind. also, if sold for the right price i will inclue ARP head studs, greddy bov, and other misc stock/performance parts.

i feel that 12k is a reasonable asking price for a GOOD condition MR2 with low miles. I stated the mileage of the vehicle in the thread title. The vehicle recently turned over 89K miles. I rarely drive the car. It recently had all of the work done to it in the past 2 months. All modifications have less then 300 miles.

6k for stock MR2.
1.4k for AEM EMS
1.5K worth of fuel modifications
3K turbo kit
1k w/ labor new clutch installed..
not including all of the other quality performance parts or labor..

again, if you feel that i am asking too much feel free to make me a offer. i will not deny any reasonable offers. thank you!

Not really to get into whether the sellers asking price is good or not, but no MR2 is worth book value for the most part. Book on these cars is very inaccurate.

NADA or KBB will tell you a good shape mk1 is worth a few hundred bux for the most part? Are you kidding me? Try to even find one without rust thats still running, let alone for a few hundred bux.

Mk2s? Yeah it would probably say my 70k-mile 93T is worth $5k as well. (i wouldn't part with it for under 12...) 93+ Turbo's are still the most sought after models, and lower mileage good condition ones are getting harder to find every day. If you can find a decent (stock even) 93+ Turbo with low mileage under 10k you better get on it.
You want a turbo for 5k range? Keep to the 150k mile '91s that are pretty well beat.

All in all, GLWS, from a fellow mr2 owner.

This is a 93 chassis with original 93 engine..original transmissions includes LSD..shifts PERFECT! no syncro issues at ALL! MR2's like this are HARD to come by!!

I have receipts for ALL work. timing belt, t-belt tensioner, and head gasket replaced at 87k miles at Fred Haas Toyota dealership in The Woodlands, TX!! stored in garage since i have owned it..
