Im located in jersey city. Id appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction and let me know a cost.

You don't need to take it to a performance shop to get those tests done on your car. All shops should be able to do that. Whether or not they know how to correctly perform them is another story..

This is the perfect opportunity to spend money on a useful tool (you can actually build your own, too; there are plenty of instructions on the web about building your own leak down tester).

I'd opt to spend the money on the tool, and do it in my own garage (or a knowledgable friend's if you are not comfortable doing it on your own).

If you were closer, I'd offer my garage, but we're a good 2 hours apart, unless you'll be in AC any time soon.
