I am the owner of the car and I just wanna say that it runs great and pulls hard throughout the power band. We had some issues with bad parts that I purchased online(only buying from akuma from now on) but the guys at akuma were able to diagnose the problem correctly and get the car running like it should. I can't believe how smooth it idles now with 900cc injectors. John is a great tuner and I would highly recommend him especially if you are local to the NY/NJ area.

Wow, unless the dyno reads low or something i would expect a 20g with supporting mods would be like 360-370whp on pump gas. Im sure its gonna be a fun ride. Clean lookin too. Nice job.

It is a very low reading mustang dyno. The numbers would be higher on a dynojet. 21 PSI feels amazing

Our dyno reads exceptionally low.

I kept this car conservative. I do not trust the 5 speed tranny very much. I know some people get 400+ HP/TQ with no issues, but I did not want to risk it for the customer. I also explained to the customer, if he wants to push it a little harder, the car will make power with this set up. It is a Synergy turbo(Chinese maybe?) with a header/TBE combo that is also different from most of the cars we usually see. Not to say the parts are bad, just different. The car feels great, very linear.. pulls to redline easily. He can go out and really drive this car with no worries.

Regards,

John

Good call, this forum is pretty iffy with 08-12 wrx trannies not breaking some how. I know a kid that blew 2nd gear while just on a stage 1 tune. Said it was because he was driving in sandles? So I guess that goes to show he simply didnt know how to drive.. Car looks like a blast, but it were me I would of gone with even a 3071, most likely a 76 tho. what turbo would you of gone with on a stock block 09?

That is great numbers, I am making 318WHP w/the HTA68 on the same Dyno!! IT reads LOW trust us on this, that is a great number for that Dyno, great numbers. Reliable as hell if John tuned it!!

I am going with the Meth. kit this spring!

Understood. Good call.

I wanna see someone sti or wrx push one of these turbos to see what it can do and how reliable the turbo is at peak power.

theres a bunch of people running them on the 3gwrx forum. I hear they're popular out in cali. And apparently the synergy turbos are similar to the kamak/taiwan made turbos

Buttery smooth power lines. I don't even see the numbers, they don't matter in the least. The tuner set the tune up to maximize the turbo's performance in accordance with the supporting mods, that's the only relevant info. Love seeing the 2.5L's that don't have the pull drop after the torque peaks. Actually mimics my Ver. 8 block very nicely. Enjoy man

I don't care about hp/tq numbers. The smooth lines are from the smoothing table, no graph is naturally that smooth. I wanna see where in the power band peak boost/tq is how much boost and how long it takes to spool. Thank you. Ass.
