Haha sounds like me with my 48 setup. However, I'm sure I make significantly less power. Awesome 60' and awesome times. Ambient temp at the track?

Wow, that's crazy, I figured it had to be 28xx with you in it. My car (on a similarly sized turbo) went almost 89 to the 1/8th on Sunday, but only picked up 22.5 up top on Q16. I can't imagine picking up 29 mph up top. Maybe you could get your tuner to pop into the thread and offer some insight. Also, I had a SPEC clutch that was dead after ~2K and hated the drag strip, it was the worst mod I've ever had on any car. I hope you have better luck and yours just needs more street driving/break-in.

I have a spec stage 1 clutch. I should have went with a stock setup if I knew it could hold the power. Didn't want to go with too aggressive of a clutch with the stock trans.

ya see this is where you guys lose me lol......

why would a "stock" setup hold power better from a launch?

arent SPEC clutches an upgrade clutch? some are made with CF materials correct? this makes no sense to me....

Dude, no reason for disbelief. You have all the proof and plenty of credible previous results for backup.

Yes, SPEC clutches are considered an upgrade, but I'm not a fan of kevlar segmented clutches for drag. My SPEC was professionally installed, broken in (shuddering the entire break in) and then taken to the strip. It never held a launch and would slip in the upper gears as well. When it came out a few thousand miles later there was no kevlar left, it had melted away. All that was left was the disc, metal buttons and rivets.

i attribute karls quickness to the rotated throttle body/front mount.

with that said, SPEC will NEVER be a clutch option that i would look into in the future......

what i have removed is passenger seat, rear seats, everything in the trunk, rear seat belts, the bar that is under the rear seats... i have non used things in the engine bay removed like the cruise control fog lights.. i was gonna remove my radio, pioneer d3, and my speakers but never got around to that.
