titan those have exceptionally low noise! very nice! I'm working on getting an underwater enclosure for my 20D since I have gotten so into diving in La jolla. Found an awesome area with my kayak yesterday.. too bad the enclosure is over 4 grand.. maybe I'll just get an underwater point and shoot

Titan, sharp pics! what ISO are you shooting at? I see you're stopping down at f/4-5.6 with 5-8sec exposures.

Wow, didn't know they were that much money . You could buy a D3 for that much or a D700 and some lenses...

These were taken at ISO 100... With the Olys, you want to shoot as low an ISO as possible

I use firefox as my browser and they offer a plugin that allows you to right click on a picture and read the exif info (if its available)

Haha I'm with ya, I've noticed during the day I can get away with 200-400ish with a fast shutter speed, but at night, that is stuck on 100. I've come to the conclusion that there's something wrong with my 14-45 kit lens. I used my friend's dad's, same lens OEM (?) with his camera, on my camera, and it shot 100x better. Idk if the kid I bought the camera from dropped the lens, or let it bake in his car, or if theres something wrong with the connection with the pins where the lens meets the frame, idk. But there's something wrong with it.

yeah, I would just buy another one, they can be had for $100.. or you can pick up a 14-54 which is 10x better for about 300-350

well they have dropped the prices on the case I noticed after I posted that to about $1500.. but to get a flash on there it's about another grand not to mention a longer lens enclosure is still in the 3K range for more than just the basic camera and kit lens.. which a flash is needed underwater.

I'll prob pick up a cheap point and shoot.. Nikon makes one rated to 50 feet for under 200 dollars.

That's still ridiculous how expensive that is. The better come with a full, no if ands or buts, life time warranty for our camera and parts for that much money.

KP,

photo mark is a great store. It is over right off the 51. When I was taking all my photo classes at SCC that's where I went. Tempe camera is where I had my digital cleaned and they are big too, but photo mark had much more for real film which I was shooting at the time. I got all of my film and supplies there. Also next to them but attached is image mark.. which I believe was one of the only good professional film processing places left along with digital printing.

exactly.. plus, my 20D was over 2k when it was new but that was a while ago.. now they sell the body for like 300 bucks.. so to buy that for a 300 dollar body..

I'll have to check it out. I just recently learned a little bit about film. Still never shot with it, not once in my life, but I learned how it all works. It's interesting, but I don't think I have the patience for it.

I shot with a 20D, I liked it... A lot....

Why is everything in photography expensive?

photomark still appears to be a great store for film buffs. I really didnt see a whole lot in their inventory for digital but it looks like the place to go for any lighting needs.
During the workshop they kept pitching their digital printing services.

Photomark is a cool place, they have a full line of OLY stuff but like any brick and mortar store, you will usually pay a premium. I like to go in there and try out the equipment and then buy online from places like adorama and bhphoto. Frys also carries OLY stuff but only the low-end consumer items.

On a side note, I was at the drag and drift event and snapped some pics but my results were complete rubbish. I had to shoot at 800+ ISO to get a high enough shutter to slow the action but what a complete mess. Tons of noise and blurry images. I was dissapointed enough to look into other systems . I was thinking about the Nikon D5000 but the recall has me concerned so my other option was the Canon 450d.....so right now I am kind of in limbo .

I shot with Dan's D80, or D90 I don't remember which, but with a 800+ ISO without a problem. I was freehanding shots that I would need a tripod to shoot with my camera. I was shocked.

lol.. dude if you're into night shooting it's important. well.. sell ur gear and pick up a new camera. I know at least on the canon the cheaper rebels have even a better sensor than the 20D and that's pretty good for that price range.
