Aux jack problems
I have an 07 Outback Sport SE (aux, sub)
Since I bought the car (used w/37000miles plus 100,000 basic extended coverage), my ipod would sometimes only play out of the driver side speakers. This never happens when playing a cd.
It has become worse so that almost everytime I try to use my ipod, this occurs.
After some suggestions from others on NASIOC, I bought a new aux cable, and checked my ipod (when I notice it happening in the car) with a pair of headphones.
The new cable made no difference. The headphones always play in both ears. This leads me to believe that I have a problem with the aux jack.
My question: Does anyone know what the specific problem could be?
Also, is this covered under electrical in my warranty?
Thanks for any help.

this should be covered under warranty.
those little 1/8th jacks tend to fail easily in all types of electronics. it probably needs to be re soldered.
