Default VF39 BAD SEALS? What are the reccuring effects of bad seals in a turbo?

Like i said bad seals in VF39? trying to get more information on what are the symptoms of this besides low oil level eventually? Any signs to look for besides that, like a little oil in the downpipe, at idle? Possible smoke out the exhaust? Any help is appreciated...

well if it is oil and your burning it then it would smoke but that would most probably be coming out of the exhaust side. If it is leaking from the compressor side you would have a lot of oil in the intercooler. It is normal to get some oil in the I/C due to blow by.

hot side = smokey exhaust
cold side = oil in inlet and intercooler/ FMIC piping

pull the post maf and look at the inlet with a mirror and flashlight, easier to tell if you have an aftermarket colored inlet

or pull the TMIC and look in there
