Default 2004 JDM WRX V-Limited EJ205

I thought I'd join my fellow SOCOJ member (DuCash) and post some details of my car. Its an MY04 JDM WRX V-Ltd with an EJ205.

Current mods:

Engine
STI Intercooler
STI 565cc Injectors
VF39/22 hybrid
TGV Delete
MRT Pod Intake
XS Power Semi-Equal Length Headers and up-pipe
eBay 3" Turbo-Back Exhaust
Prodrive 3-Port Boost Control Solonoid
eBay Oil Catch Can
Ecutek with full map-switch, launch control, and per-gear wastegate control

Last dyno at 18psi in 3rd was 266whp and 244wtq

Brakes
DBA4000 vented / slotted rotors

Suspension
STI Genome strut brace

The following engine is being built for the car:

Engine


USDM EJ25 Block bored out to 100mm
Arias High Compression Pistons
Scat connecting rods
JDM STI cams
Port and Polished heads
MRT Dual-Regulator fuel rails
Brian Crower 1mm oversized valves
Brian Crower Stanless Steel valve springs (capable of 9000rpm)
Brian Crower Titanuim retainers
Denso 750cc top-feed injectors
XS Power FMIC
Exedy Stage 2 Clutch


Power Goal: 350ft/lbs at the wheel at less than 20psi with whatever hp comes with that



The following list shows the mods planned for the rest of the year

Brakes

Wilwood SL6 6-piston calipers (front)
Wilwood 12.9" vented and slotted rotors
Wilwood Steel Braided brake lines
ATE Super Blue brake fluid

whats up with the tq in the dyno plot?

FYI: you dont need a built block or any work done to the heads to make 350tq....a well tuned stg2 sti will do that on 93oct. Your setup sounds like overkill for your goals....too much risk and money if you ask me.

The engine is being built with the eventual aim of reaching 500whp. 350 is the initial goal due to the weakness of the stock 5-MT gearbox. The wick will be turned-up once the PPG gearkit is aquired and installed or a conversion to the STI transmission is done.

When you say VF39/22 hybrid, do you mean a VF39 with a P20 (VF22) hotside?

Its the VF39 hotside with the VF22 cold side. It was an experiment that we didn't think would work but I think that 266whp on an internaly stock EJ205 is pretty good so we're happy.

Its being built localy by JIM Enterprises, the local Ecutek representative.

He did all the mods to the car so far.
