I can most likely help ya out just depends when. The turbo, uppipe, and tmic are a cake walk. Injectors kinda suck balls, but not horrible. I wont do those for ya, I didnt even do my own.

I can help you do all of it... I've got the exp, garage, and tools.... all air too. Unfortunately though, I can't this week/weekend as i'm working and have plans with the GF.

If you don't get anyone to help you out by next weekend, we can do it all at my place... just sucks with the weather being so damn hot now.

Are the injectors PnP? And, I hope you have an aftermarket inlet tube. If not, i'd buy one (Samco, APS, Perrin... don't a generic one, will just end up collapsing). The engine oil that's sucked in through the PCV system eats the stock one alive and is more than likely going to tear/rip when removing your old Turbo.

The injectors are PnP(Plug n Play) then. Also, that hose is the y-pipe for the intercooler. The turbo inlet runs under the intake manifold and into the turbo. The factory one is pretty restrictive and flimsy where it mounts to the turbo. Since you will have it all apart anyway, I would go ahead and replace it. If you do use a cheap/generic one just be sure to put clamps at all the flat spots where it could collapse and you'll be fine. Although, I have seen some with really bad vacuum fittings...

As long as we don't run into any snags with the stuff you have, we could have it done in half a day easily. The hardest part is the turbo, but with that out the up-pipe and down pipe is a breeze. Injectors I can have replaced in no time at all along with the TMIC.

As GC said, that is your TMIC hose. I suggest a good silicone or hard inlet tube, do it right the first time. The best IMHO are Samco and AVO for silicone, and for a hard tube the APS.

Yah brock, you should come hang out.

What day do you want to do this? June 6 or 7th?

i dont have gaskets for my tbe. should i get some or do you also prefer jb weld? i will see if i can buy the turbo inlet from autozone tomorrow. june 7th would be perfect! i am worried though, my turbo started smoking today when i went to the gym. smells like oil, but when i drove home there wasnt anymore smoke(of course i didnt boost on the way home). would it be safe to drive it to and from work until june 7th(chking oil very often)?

I'm not sure if Auto Zone will have a turbo inlet, they can probably order a stock one but I'm not sure about anything after market. If not theres a lot of shops in town that more then likely have one

Anyone's welcome over on the 7th.

Buy the gaskets, I would never recommend JB weld for a gasket replacement.

Autozone won't have the inlet, online used or authorized dealers. You have plenty of time to get one, so don't sweat it.

Don't worry about the turbo smoking, you'll be fine as long as you keep up on the oil level.

I'll try to swing by and lend a hand as well.

The smoke is normal and is indicative of oil bypass around the shaft seals in the turbo. Mine started to do it recently as well, but it goes away after the car warms up. Check your oil frequently though as you do not want to let it get low and it will pretty quickly depending on how much is escaping the turbo seals.

Get a decent turbo inlet, not the OEM unit again.

Well, the gaskets are OEM; you can get them at subaru. Unless the down-pipe only bolts up to their CBE which uses a different flange, that i'm not sure of.

lol timing belt, clutch/ flywheel and struts in the same day as the other install. Seems like a lot of work unless you have the "Overhaulin" team.

Anyways what are you doing about a tune might want to have someone bring over a cable for a reflash.

Intake manifold gaskets also! Most of the time they can be reused but you do not want to be stranded if one tears. They are cheap like 8 bucks a piece.

And a contraption to test for boost leaks is nice to have. Pvc cap and schrader valve works well and is cheap.
