Are you 100% sure that this mani helped you make so much more power or could it be in the new build?
Congrats again, looks like there will be quite a few 9 sec subaru around this year.
100% my friend

I have tested this car many times with many other set ups and always had to struggle with huge boost to reach 600 whp

This time the only change was the intake manifold and 700 came very easy with only 34 psi peak boost

The injectors were at 100% now

I am going to get some stiffer w/g springs and some 1600 injectors and go for 750 next

Al

FP Turbos FTW !
Al,

Congrats.. as a former TSR70 owner; I am encouraged by your progress.

Question... I thought the TSR 70 was already configured with a 70 lb/min compressor wheel and only required a turbine housing change for big poweer... were both the compressor and turbine wheels and housings changed?

Just wondering what FP actually did to the turbo.

Thankx and congrats again.

From the screen shot it looks like he did another 15-20 pulls after that particular pull so he probably worked out the dip....

So how does this boost and whp compare to the EVOs running the HTA86 w/ equivalent hot side? Wondering how close you are to "4g63 efficiency" with the GSC cams and cosi manifold.

thats gonna be a really hard question to answer accurately without alot of testing.....and so many peoples setups are so different that its probably gonna be hard to ever say.

as al already mentioned, most of the other large runner intake manifolds add a little lag, but also add more top end.

i believe the explanation for that is simply that it takes a little longer to pressurize the bigger runners.....

I would say an easy eyeball way to determine when the intake manifold is gonna do you the most benefit is when the cross-sectional area of the intake runner is the smallest cross-sectional area in your system, IE it flows the least. something like this....

3" intake
3" turbo inlet
3" intercooler piping
2" intake runner

PS: i have no idea if those sizes are right

From a dig right? I don't think Al built his car for roll racing. Unless maybe its like a 20mph roll. Or run him from a dig at the track, that would be a good race.
