Exclamation Need Specialist In Sacramento Area

Newbee here that needs help!!

My wifes car has the front crank seal problem and I need it fix now!!

Does anyone know a specialist in the Sacramento, CA area that will not charge me 5 hours for a 1 hour jobby? I really do not want to go back the dealership. Bad experiences.

Which dealership? There are 5 in the Sacramento area (including Auburn and Shingle springs)
Theres a Subaru specialist non-dealer-related mechanic up in Newcastle... but I dont know anything about them

BTW, post in the Bay Area forum about Sacramento stuff, thats where all the Sac folks hang out

Thanks.

I had actually found someone in downtown. Alfa & Subie specialist. He will replace the crank seal and timing belt for $250. I believe that IS a good deal.

I had actually go burned by Ron Price in So. San Francisco...that WAS the closest dealership to me last year. Newbee to Sac also.

If you've got under 60k miles it should be under warranty. I know Santa Cruz Subaru does GREAT work, but it would be a little drive I guess........

Try Maita Subaru on Fulton and Auburn. Best parts department around, really nice and personal.

Thanks guys/gals....

I had found a place in downtown Sac. Alfa & Subaru specialist. He will do the timing belt and seal replacement for $250. Not a bad deal...since the last time I had my t-belt replaced by the dealership cost me over $400.

Oh....my wife's '98 currently has about 90k miles. But, still runs like a champ.
