If you want to upgrade, dont trade and buy from a dealer. Private party sell/buy is going to get you more vehicle for the money. RS's dont come up for sale often, should be an easy private party sale.

If it were me, I would keep the RS for a DD, get a wrecked STI/wrx, get a OBS or coupe, and do a swap.

Ya, i've thought about that also, but man thats a big chunk of cash to throw all at once at a car. but im still debating. Gonna try to save up some money since im working again and then we will see what i wwant to do when the time comes. All i know is i want boost lol.

I will throw my vote in for a swapped RS. Of course I may be biased.

What tranny are you running in your car? I've heard that some states can read the newer EJ207 ECU's when you do emissions testing...I wouldnt mind a 205 swap but cant really seem to find them...

Sounds like the meet was fun, decided not to spread the flu to you guys

On a positive note, got the 13B settled in the RX7, just working on tranny crossmember now. Wont be that long until we fire her up!

And if you are complaining about dirty cars, guys just make the time to swing by during the day and we can spray it off for you. I will hand you the soap and scrubber if you want as well. Might as well take advantage of it and have a better looking Subie, unless you like the "I own and use my Subaru as intended look" in which case, dirty them up!

Winter and dirty just go together

Threw some chips on my new tool last night, if anyone has any crazy project ideas, let me know. . I think my first project will be an aluminum battery hold down, lame, but gotta start somewhere.

XmoshX, the important numbers to watch for regarding wear are the toe angles. You want 0 toe. Camber doesn't do much to your tires unless you only drive in a straight line, or if you're running more than -3 camber. I run -2.1* up front in the summer time with no ill effects to tire wear. I actually could use a little more neg camber while racing too.

Looks like you need lots oh fender roll to tuck those babies

I run -2 camper up front, -1.5 in the rear, no ill effects on tire wear. Toe is the more important setting like Greg said. From my suspension book, -3 is the functional street limit, can go as much as -5 setting up for a specific race track. Excessive inner shoulder wear on the street starts at anything over -4. It's just tires, CVs and wheel bearings, I say run what you can/like.

Welcome to the area! Glad to have you guys here. I am always pushing for a meet at my place, I love seeing subarus plus ability to be indoors for installs etc. If anyone wants to start discussing something for after the first of the year, let me know.

And for the winter, I will gladly spray it off for you. If you want to wash it, I can let you use the scrubber and soap as well. Place to do it indoors out of the cold! Just let me know when you want to come by so I can be sure I will be there?
