I think I saw BIP today on Garity tonight...

Oh and those tires are no where near stretched yet. I have seen way worse in the VW scene.

25.5k is going to be tough for a modded car you might do better closer to stock

It really seems just in the last 6 months the prices for sti's and wrx's have dropped tremendously. I've seen so many reasonably priced sti's of late it makes me sick that I should have waited until now to buy. $25k does sound really high, but good luck nomnetheless.

hmmm...may have to check out the auto-x this weekend to say hello to some of you.

Got a TurboXS tbe and uppipe for the FXT and am looking for some help to install. I still need to pick up some new hangers, but is anyone willing/able to help with this? If not, can you recommend a place? City Radiator (or whatever it was) did a great job doing the exhaust on my Legacy, but I guess they closed down earlier in the year.

The up is probably not worth the trouble. Unless there's a cat in the stock one you won't see a difference. I have some extra factory suby hangers you can have, and turbo back is easy enough you can probably do that yourself. Takes me about an hour. You'll need a new turbo to DP gasket as well.

I'll be at both days btw.

I'm pretty sure 05 XTs have cats in their up pipe.

You would definitely know that better than me. I have very little knowledge about the XT.

Pretty sure you're right. Other than the STi, I think all of the turbo cars had a catted UP until 07.

fact, 04-05's are catted ups. I was looking for cheap oem STi one, but got tired of looking and bidding. The TurboXS piece wasn't too expensive and looks blingin.

I think my TurboXS tbe came with a gasket kit, guess I better check before I start pullin' **** apart.

You are probably ok reusing the exhaust manifold to head gaskets, but you obviously need new up gaskets as well. I've never put an up on, but I'd guess about another hour or so. I can do it for you if you want, but wouldn't be able to guarantee no leaks with the parts you have. Let me know.

If it's as 'easy' as you guys say then I'll give it a shot myself. I did plenty of my own work on my Legacy, just haven't messed with a turbo motor at all.

UP is a pain sometimes, depends on how many miles on the car and what tools you have available, and if you break any bolts. If you do the TBE at the same time, will be much easier.

I can help as well, busy this weekend, but may have some time next weekend.

We still need that install day...

On a side note, I finally found my offroad project car.... Any of you forester guys have an extra set of stock forester struts/springs/tophats you want out of your way in the garage?

Get some pb blaster and drench every bolt that you need to take off the day before so it soaks. It will make your removal a lot easier.

I'm pretty sure you'll need to get it tuned w/ a downpipe going on that. I could be wrong w/ the xt, but if you do I have a tactrix cable you could use. You would need to get a map from XPT or other email tuners.
