I can help as well, busy this weekend, but may have some time next weekend.

We still need that install day...

On a side note, I finally found my offroad project car.... Any of you forester guys have an extra set of stock forester struts/springs/tophats you want out of your way in the garage?

I have springs that I want gone if you want them. <10k miles on them too

Got a TurboXS tbe and uppipe for the FXT and am looking for some help to install. I still need to pick up some new hangers, but is anyone willing/able to help with this? If not, can you recommend a place? City Radiator (or whatever it was) did a great job doing the exhaust on my Legacy, but I guess they closed down earlier in the year.
If you do need help. I could help, but I'm not very mechanically skilled. I have done the downpipe, but never an upipe and I would like to see how to do it and how hard it is.

I've got a Cobb AP v2 and I believe one of the included maps accounts for tbe. I'm not planning on a protune until late summer when I do TMIC and turbo upgrade. Not looking for numbers, so I'll probably just invest in a street tune in either Bend, PDX, or SLC.

Not sure when I'll actually attempt the up/tbe install as I'm trying to get my 97 LGT dressed up to sell.

Question

Hey guys, I need a few recommendations on shops to get the car all fixed up for summer time.

1 - Good body shop to pull out a small dent or two & straighten out a big dent w/ some painting involved.

2 - Windshield replacement. I bought the car with a cracked windshield but after the winter the small crack decided to run accross the windshield interfering with my visibility.

3 - If I have enough cash I would like to also tint the windows.

If you have any input on good shops for one or all of my problems, please chime in. Also, if you have any shops in mind that I should avoid that is greatly appreciated as well.

I just compound fractured my tibia and fibula late Wed night downtown. I had surgery Thur morning to get a titanium rod in my leg. I'm going to be down for about a month so now is the perfect time since I can't drive my car anyways.

Thanks in advance

I had to be quick, didn't want to miss out on my 4th one... Car has a lot of issues, but for offroading, should work out great.

I got my Legacy's tint job at Custom Car Design in Garden City. Job was awesome and the use 3M, which has a lifetime guarantee.

368-0355 <---that's their #

I also need to get my Forester tinted....If any others are interested maybe we could get a group rate?

I was on top of it, but still lowballed the seller. I really couldn't justify a 4th subaru.

If you need any parts I've got a 98 wagon with all 5spd parts on it with 130k. Ive also got a rear disk conversion parts car with slotted rotors (92 legacy ss)

great pick up tho, congrats

What's wrong with more subaru's? We have 3 wagons now, and this is my 6th subie in 5 years

Did you go check the car out? Thought I was on top of it

Cool, thanks for the offer on parts. For now just need a windshield, passenger fender, drivers front turn signal housing and drivers door panel. May be interested in some upgrades once I get her road worthy. One cylinder has the spark plug threads stripped so need to fix that, or swap in my EJ25D.

Lot of work, but should turn out well in the end, hoping to get 3" of lift and some 27" tires under it by mid summer.

PM sent, might be saving the wagon, and getting a new toy to put in it.

Btw there was a post earlier about Mike in a ride along and the car being slow. Would that be mine you were discussing? Because the tune done by Mr. Montgomery was better than the AP that was on the car.

But as has been said multiple times, having someone with lots of experience with subarus is better than someone only doing a couple. Hence why I am interested in your friend.

i would wrap that turbo-xs down pipe before you install it .. you have to remove all the heat shielding to install it in a forester

What kind of time frame? For that price I'd get a tune even before I upgrade turbo/tmic...

haha, I know what you mean. My wife was asking is this was going to be the last project for awhile, I said I don't know

Interior was trashed, I think there where several coffee's spilled in it in the last few days of it's life. Oh, and I found some patchouli oil that spilled under the passenger seat , not sure how to get the smell out just yet... 3 hours of cleaning later, it actually doesn't look half bad, but the smell is still there. I need to steam clean the seats and carpet still, but other than 1 cigaretter burn, not half bad.

Hoping it turns out at planned, still need to sell my bike to fund it, but should be cool in the end. Thanks for the offer, I might need some help, haven't worked on the GC/GF bodied cars much.

I know the couch thing. Sometimes it is best to just compromise and let it go, and get less grief, then picking fights with your better half.

On a side note, would really like to try to get some guys lined up for Ezra's buddy from Florida. We get a couple, and it makes it possible for him to show up. I know I for one am a definite.

Holy crap, a tune/install day would be awesome. Count me in as a definite for a tune with your friend. If the combo install day isn't possible, I'll make sure to get that done asap.
