Thanks for all of your opinions. I'm leaning more towards keeping my car and just getting the trany fixed. Hopefully I'll be able to do a six speed. I'll keep researching it out.

If anyone has a good link for swapping a sti tranny into a 2002 wrx let me know. Cost would be helpful too.

I think both will help you out. The first forum has 9 more links to other forums that helped him.

Does anyone have a brake line banjo bolt laying around? Of course I end up breaking one somehow, and places are either closed, or they don't have it.

Any suggestions? I'm dripping brake fluid.

Thanks.

I might be interested in the trailing arms to use as a template, but if someone needs them to function I dont need them that bad.

If you see a new red wrx hatch out and about, and don't get a wave back, sorry. I'm trying hard to avoid all of the people aiming at the brand new car.

And also, not to overshadow the post above, but I have some things from my old car to sell, too. I had a 99 RS coupe. PM me if you have any interest in them.

Red 06-07 4-pot front calipers and pads – used for 5 months
RacingBrake slotted front wrx rotors – used for 5 months
Whiteline 24mm rear swaybar
Whiteline 22mm front swaybar, had it on my 05 wagon and 99 coupe
Kartboy rear endlinks
Kartboy front endlinks for GC/Wagons
GT Spec front and rear strut tower bars for GC’s
Paranoid Fabrications fender braces – brand new
JDM Momo Steering wheel, all black with red stitching- airbag compatible with my ‘99 and others in that era
Paranoid Fabrications grounding kit for non-turbo
Green Air Filter
MC Brace for GC’s – Lachute Performance
Rear Camber Bolts

I didn't know STI made an ALK. I know Perrin and Whiteline do. What color is the bushing?

Greg, those would look sweet on your car. Even on your wifes car.

Either 53 or 55, I bought them from Travis (dolmen_tor) a few months ago. I will post some pictures this afternoon.

I also have a Prodrive axle back round tip exhaust.

I may be wrong, but I think it is just a stiffer bushing. I dont think there is any caster change.

I think shifter bushings help more than the shifter. The shorter throw is a personal preference.

I had one on my 04 wrx and liked it at first but I got tired of it. It takes more force to shift which I didn't like. My brothers car has the sti short shifter which is much nicer.

valid point, the STI/SPT short throw linkage IS different. Its not so much a lever replacement, but a whole system.

I had a short throw and got sick of it as well, bushings are a must though, they make the shifter feel much nicer

I like my strut tower bars and can feel the difference, but not needed if you don't have other upgrades (springs, struts, sways, etc).
