Hi people, just moved here from MA, took a ride up to South Mountain today, snapped a couple pics, I'm deffinitely not a photographer, but hope you like them and hopefully I'll meet some of you tomorrow night at the meet. Last pic is of the snake I almost stepped on at the top of the mountain, holy **** you won't catch my arse in the desert running like some of those people running to the top, frickin crazy people! haha

It amazes me how a little tweak of the taillights makes the backend of that car look absolutely great.
Welcome to PHX... you're gonna like it here. |

Painting the tail lights made a huge difference, also painted the lower reflectors, the chrome trim, and added the 09 spoiler, damn the 08's. ![]() |

ha, that's a baby snake.. go over to Larda's Army supply in Mesa and get some snake gators if you want to walk in the desert and are afraid. I used to some serious hiking alone in the McDowell mountains accessing it through preserve back when you used to have to buy a permit to be in there. I was usually alone upwards of 4,000 feet up several miles from bell. One time I accidentally got a little close to 6 footer which was 100% camouflaged in some rocks.. It bounced right off the plastic gators and ran away like WTF was that
I was lucky to have them, even though I had a Sawyer snake bit kit on me.. that would have been no fun up there! welcome to the desert. |

yeah, screw that, I was lucky too I guess, seeing I was wearing flipflops, heard it rattle, didn't think much of it until my girl screamed. I thought it was leaves or something blowing around, only because I had never heard one before and wasn't looking for it. It will def be in the back of my mind nex time i'm in the desert

yea, luckily the snake was aware you were there. Usually in that situation it will almost always flee. It's when you surprise them that they will strike, which is what happened when i was climbing since they usually are asleep during the day and come out at sundown. When it tried to bite me there was no rattle or any warning. That's pretty rare though. Most bites occur when people provoke the snake trying to kill it or touch it. Just keep your eyes out though.. depending upon where you live you ma see snakes or you may not. Where I used to live over by DC Ranch.. we had snakes around us ALL the time. Which was always a concern with a smaller dog.
