If you can get an EZ36R for 1500 dollars I think that is a no brainer with the added displacement and technology with no added cost. Just be aware that if you went with the 3.6 you would pretty much be stuck with NA as I think the rod design is much different than the 30. I believe it has a curve in it to accommodate the extra displacement or something strange. I will have to double check that though.

Ben
That is correct. The rods are VERY wierd.

Well my buddy has a friend about 4 hrs away that has an EZ30 in his garage. He might be willing to part with it for 500.00 for a complete engine w/ wiring harness. If so then I will go that route. Also my other buddy has a GC8 with an 05 STi full swap he is looking to maybe put up for sale so this car might go up for sale as soon as its painted and finished. Don't know yet but I really like his car.... a lot.

Taking offers haha and currently its not painted so you could pick the color?

Hey all so the EZ30 Swap is on. Had a buddy call a friend that had a EZ30 with 10k miles complete with wiring for $800.00 so I'm going to pick that up.

80% of the car should be in primer, (still waiting on my 09 rear bumper) so I;ll have some pics of it in all one color with the front bumper all done soon.

Yeah me too its been to long since I have had my car and I am ready to get it back. I'll probubly get the engine in a couple weeks and I'll start aquiring other parts for its slowly. I am going to doll it all up and prolly do some engine bay working when my engine finally comes out. I want to move the batt to the trunk, tuck the harness, do dual air intakes should look pretty legit when its all in. I hope the wiring is not a huge pain I would like to have a pretty quick and easy swap. haha

Little update as of Friday. Back bumper is started. The side vent thingies aren't in yet but its looking pretty good so far. I might have some new updated primer pics today we'll see.

Sorry Crappy cell phone pic.

Yeah its getting me all jazzed up. The brown part thats accented in the bumper will have they carbon vinyl crap with the pearl over it. We did some spray outs and its going to have a really cool effect. Also we got the pearl setup for the STi logos and stuff. Only problem is my hood. I ordered a VIS carbon hood but I don;t think its even been shipped so I might just cancel my order and get a OE GT hood. There is one I stock in town so it sucks but I'm not postponing this anymore for a carbon hood I am painting anyways.

not knocking what you can do, but hit up Zephyr and see if he's done a h6 harness. Maybe able to give you some forsight.

Yeah I need to send my hydra send it in and see what I get back. I have time ti get all my ducks in a row before I start tearing parts out so the plan is to have all my wiring and stuff plug and play so I can finish the swap relatively quickly.

Its a mixture of 2pt fusor and structural mat. Little bit of fiberglass and duraglass bondo in areas that don't flex much. The fusor is amazing its works great and its still flexible. I mean its going to be jacked up if I ever get bumped but it will hold with out cracking forever.

Yeah because I am going to be swapping in an EZ30 so I am going to run a true dual exhaust.

New pic of the bumper. Car was primed last night so I'll have pics of it in all one color tonight.

Oh man... That car is gorgeous!
Future plans for it?
Any chance I'll be able to see the car this summer around Kirkland? Bellingham is a bit north for me to go, but it would be awesome to see the car.

Well I'll be going to a lot of meets and the Olympic cruse if they have one this year. WWCSS or however you abbreviate that prolly. Maybe a couple car shows if I get my engine swapped. I am sure you'll get your chance.

Looks awesome johann. I am excited to see this back on track.
Good choice going with the H6. Be sure to keep us updated on how hard the swap is. I would LOVE to H6 my wagon.

This is going to be an awesome car. I love the wide fenders, look so great on the car. I love this model LGT and have been thinking about tearing my WRX apart to do an LGT WRX swap.

Love the car.

The portion near the wheel well, are you just flaring the bumper there, or did you add something to get it to match.

Looks great so far!
