Default I want to run H&R Sport Springs, now what shock should I use?

I really want to use H&R sport springs in my WRX (mainly because I like the drop and I have had good luck wiht H&R products in the past). I was wondering if anyone here can reccomend a good shock to go along with that spring. Preferably something that isn't terribly expensive but will last a long time...

Am I dreaming?

Thanks!

I'm also planning on using H&Rs but am going to stick with stock struts for awhile.

See, I would do that, but that is going to accelerate the wear on the struts really badly, and it isn't going to ride as nice as it would on struts that are meant for lowering springs...

Anyone?

I thought the KYB AGX ones right now aren't made for our 02' WRX. Am I wrong? Where did you get your KYB AGX?

Post Koni's

Get the Koni strut inserts. You will not be disappointed!

Kind of a pain to install, but worth it.
Having ridden in WRX with AGX's & STi springs I like my H&R/Koni combo better.

My $.02

i'm running H&R's on KYB's, and they're grrreat.

NOTE: the 1.8-2.0" drop that H&R lists for their springs is measured on new stock struts. with the KYB's it drops an inch. that should give you an idea of how much stress they place on the stock struts.

bbaerotek,

Where did you get your Koni strut inserts and how much? Are these made for our WRX? Why is it a pain to install? I'm currently running on H&R springs and would like to get new struts.

It's a pain 'cause you have to butcher the stock strut so you can insert the Koni insert. Koni is definately top notch though.
