Jeremy, Im guessing its either a bank of injectors shorting out, or the timing. Im gonna check those first!

huh, for some reason I have not gotten any PM's or emails from you. I would not purposly blow you off. weird.

ANyway, I did the same swap as you and like Aaron said, I had no problems like the ones you are mentioning. It definetly sounds like some sort of injector or timing problem. The cam sprockets have so many damn marks on them it's hard to figure out which one means what. make sure you are using the correct ones. A long time ago (about 6 months or so) I asked how many teeth go between cam gears and the crank gear and got a response. I don;t recall what it was but it is in here somewhere.

I would try swapping the two left injectors with the two right injectors and seeing what happens. I doubt it is a problem with the injectors but at this point you want to try to eliminate anything you can.

I didn;t see your post about blowing up your engine but if you did, I would 100% check to make sure you didn;t bend a valve. a bent intake valve can definetly cause that problem.

Even if you blow up only one piston, the shrapnel loves to go out the intake valve and bounce around in the manifold and end up in another piston. To get there, it has to go by the intake valve and a lot of times gets hit by it and bends it. Just last months I saw this happen on a smallblock chevy. one dropped valve destroyed the entire engine because of shrapnel getting into other cylinders.

anyway, keep us updated and if you have any questions, email me at swannie@imap3.asu.edu I have gotten emails from other people through this websites "email user" funstion so try again.

One more thing, from what I gather, the compression on the EJ22T with SOHC EJ25 heads is closser to 9.0:1 than 8.0:1 but no one has been able to confirm that that i know of. But, regardless, compression wouldn;t have anything to do with your problem.

Actually the compression ratio for a 2.2T with SOHC heads and MY00 SOHC head gaskets has been done...

Wac did it a little while ago. See his homepage for details.

I replaced my intalke manifold gaskets and throttle body gaskets. No difference. This next weeking I am gonna do a leak down and Compression test, and try and test the injectors to see if they are shorting out, or clogged. Also I am gonna replace the plugs to see if that makes any difference! Any other ideas?

Also my Blitz Boost Gauge USED to read -54 at idle before my block swap, and now it reads a fluctualting 28-33 at idle. Is the lower compression casuing this altered Vacuum?

that sucks... Hmm it'll be a while before I'm in far enough with my project to help you.. Good luck.

Are you running a stand alone Engine management system like TEC or anything or is all done on stock ECU and piggy backs?

Yeah I can see that being a bit of a problem when you change the bottom end and lower compression.

What was the fitment problem you had with the up-pipe??

The Legacy turbo uppipe is SLIGHTY different than the PDE WRX uppipe. The PDE one was about 1/4" shorter thus causing the turbo to hit the manifold and tranny. Oh well! it is still a great peice to LOOK AT!
