Not my car, but I thought I would posting a video. The car is owned by John 1badSTI (member of this board). I had a great time at the event today, it was fun meeting up with fellow Subaru owners. Big thanks to Andy for hooking me up with the helmet and FREE water!!!

Don't feel bad, I was a few tenths off what I expected. Watching that pass made my day better though.

I figure whenever I can drive the Subaru to and from the track under it's own power it's a good day!

FWIW - it's no big deal if you can't compete with the big dogs. It's still REALLY fun to go to a closed event and get in test runs. I always say I'm competing with myself to make me feel better.

F the dyno - street tuning is where it is at if you want to roll fast in 4th gear at the track (problem is to find a place to do so LOL)

What does your set up consist of ? It looked good comming out of the hole in 1st gear - glad you could beat up on some Evos.

I managed a 10.85 at 129.43 with an neck wrenching 1.50 60 foot (man that was fun) on my first pass, but as some of you know my 3rd gear decided to relieve itself into the tranny oil pan as it obviously had enough today.

Damn that's 2 STI tranny's in 6 months for me.

Al, you were missed at the event

I thought these things were not supposed to break

did anyone get any video of my 10.85 pass?
I am so glad you posted that you made it home ok I was worried you might have run into problems getting there.

yeah I think so too the drag radials are giving me the best that they can I just think I am overpowering them the first part of the track because I picked up 38 mph on the back half on that pass.I will improve a little bit at a time like I did last year when I was working on my pump gas set-up it just takes a little time, patience and know how.

Gotta be your power vs. tires issue, cause its definetly not your driving, man you hammer those shifts damn quick.

sorry I didn't put that in there---I am still running the stock struts with tein S-tech springs and bfg 225/45/17 tires at 28psi frt-25 psi rear.I am also running an act sprung 6 puck with the extreme pr plate and it works great for me.

It wasnt that, it was i got beat by a civic with a damn near stock B18 swap
Also that i got slayed by my buddies R32, which i annihilate with ease.

John, did you break 3ed gear today?
Time for a PPG 6sp dogbox???
