Post Subaru routine maintenance ????

I'm new to the world of Subies..but I definitely have the "fever". I have always owned Hondas/Acuras and I'm used to their maintanence schedules, and associated costs. I know SOA recommends that you replace the timing belt every 60k miles. Do they also suggest replacing the water pump at the same time..as in a Honda/Acura? Also, what's the approx. cost for a timing belt replacement. I assume that with a flat boxer engine..the timing belt is right up front....and easier to reach, hence a lower cost. Also..does SOA recommend valve adjustments...etc?? Rumor has it that the WRX will have a timing chain..a definite in my eyes. Any and all info would be thoroughly appreciated....

As far as I know, the 2.5RS doesn't get a new timing belt until 100K.

Also...according to here: http://www.geocities.com/clintsc9/ImpSpecs/ImpP05.jpg

The New WRX gets a belt also. (It's down the bottom) Changing required according to this documentation at 100,000 Kms (Roughly 60,000 Mi).

You can whet your appetite for the new WRX here: http://www.geocities.com/clintsc9/Im...mpreza2001.htm

It's the European version, but it shouldn't be that mush different than here.

PhaseII SOHC 2.5 liter motors should have their valves adjusted at 120K miles.

What's the approx cost to get the timing belt replaced....and what about the water pump? Does SOA suggest replacing the water pump at the same time as the timing belt...or do you just wait for it to go??
