Default Handbrake or clutch switch 04 STi?

Hi guys,

I don't often post, but I'm after a little help.

Do you know if the 2004 STi has a clutch switch? If so where does the wiring run for it? If not, where does the handbrake (or e-brake) send it's signal from to say that it's on or off?

Thanks very much

The handbrake has a switch on it. You'll have to pull open the center console to get to it.

The clutch has two switches on it. One for the starter, and the other to disable cruise control. IIRC the top switch on the clutch pedal is for the starter interlock, and the bottom the cruise control. Just follow the clutch pedal up and you will see them.

Hi there,

I managed to find the handbrake switch, I just didn't look hard enough it would seem

However, as I don't have cruise control, does that mean I won't have any clutch wiring? As I still can't seem to see anything?

Thanks very much

if your clutch has to be on the floor to start the car, then there is a starter interlock switch on the clutch. you need to look harder my friend.
