Default CEL with Blinking Cruise Control Light. NEED HELP!

Ok let me give you the break down. I searched this issue already and it didn't help me. I have a 2006 WRX, car was in an accident back in march (frontend). I just barely got the car back on thursday. After driving it for a day the CEL came on and the cruise control started to blink as well. I took it back to the shop and we hooked it up to his data scanner. After running the scan it came back with no codes. He reset the ecu and i went on my way. however today after driving it the lights came again. THe car runs strong and it does not misfire or run sluggish. I really need some help.

THanks in advance,
Anthony

My Cel came on with the Cruise but it was due to aftermarket downpipe. I used a cobb stage 2 map and it got rid of it.

For some reason there are some code readers that don't work on our cars. I have a 2006 STi and had the same problems, if you take your car to the dealership have them just read the code, but assuming you didn't take it there but if you did already and it still won't read IDK

Also i was able to find my own code reader at NAPA Auto Parts, I will check the brand but it was the only one I could find besides the Subi Dealership that worked

I'm pretty sure the reason you get a cruise light is a saftey feature, because if something on your enine goes bad and causes a CEL and your in cruise control and don't notice you can do some damage so when this light comes on it disables your cruise control

When a CEL situation occurs, the Cruise light blinks to get your attention. The blinking is not showing a specific code (some manufacturers have blink "codes" with them but ours to not). If you know someone who has an Accessport you can get a code reading from that and go from there. - Be careful and don't push it till you get to the dealer.

Your car is most likely sensitive to the AEM intake. You posted a lean code in your other posting. Either that or it was installed incorrectly. MAF sensor properly mounted? It should give a slickt click when it is positioned exactly how it should be.

It might be that it has something to do with your o2 sensor. I installed an Invidia catless TBE on my 08 WRX and the same thing just happened, even though I have the mechanical CEL fix installed. Anyone have any ideas on what to do next? Make sure the CEL fix is in properly and then try and get rid of the codes? Any help would be appreciated.

I have an OBDII at my shop so I plugged it in. Although I cant remember exactly what the code said (should have written it down), it was something to do with the o2 sensor. So I deleted the code and the CEL went away, along with the blinking cruise light on the VDC off light, so the CEL must automatically disable cruise and the VDC. I had a friend double check my install on the TBE and he said that everything was done right. I have no idea what made the CEL come on, but the TBE was on for a good 2 weeks before anything happened. So the CEL went off on monday and hasn't come back since, so I guess its all good. Thanks for the help.
