Default Just need a quick answer.........

Will the 2008 STi engine/drivetrain/interrior fit into a 2006 Chassis? I looked at some specs and it looks like the 08 STi is about 6 inches longer on the wheelbase. Anyone know if the subframe mounts/engine mounts/etc. are the same? Don't ask me where I'm going with this, I just need some word from someone in a yes or no form answer. Any help?

The engine and the trans will physically bolt in, but thats about it. Electrically they are very different animals. The '08 being a CANBUS system.

The '08 trans has no spot for a speed sensor because CANBUS cars use the wheel sensors for everything.

The '08 has no front subframe, it is intergrated into the unibody. For this reason the suspension is not compatable either.

Interior? Not even close, totally different cars. '08 was a makeover year.

The engine and tranmission themselves do have the same mounting points.
