Gravy train seems a lot different that when it first opened. The last few jumps are actually doable now. I've made it all the way down until the last 4 and would love to hit those but I have trouble making the turn after the 15th jump.

I've been riding HLC for a few months now and I've been eyeing Semper Dirticus. Might need a different setup if I want to go bigger though. A Stumpy Evo and an XC helmet probably arent the best for doing bigger stuff.

Oh man. A buddy of mine picked up the carbon cannondale jekyll. That ride is sooooo sweet. Crazy geometry, I usually ride medium or small and is was a large but it feels so nimble.
I kept drooling over it.

I rode up at Stevens today and wow is that place coming together. It's awesome! Lower part of rock crusher still needs some work, but wookie and the rest of RC are flowing pretty nicely. Wookie is a real gnarly ripper now that the mud has cleared out. We sat out and had a beer afterward and it was sooooo nice. The whole area was moderately busy too but never a line at the lift.

I'm headed up to Whistler wednesday through friday this week. It should be fun!

what kind of line is gravy train relative to HLC. Harder or easier? Where is it in the park?

I'll be at Duthie tomorrow late afternoon/evening. Have not been for a long time.

I'd say its easier. The features are smaller. But there's a ton more of them.

Also wondering if anybody would be interested in some weekend day trips up to Whistler?

Also also wondering if any locals want to help me put on all my cool new parts some time soon? Got pretty much everything for a stage 3 build just chillin at my house, staring at me, beckoning...
I'm going to be in Bham either this weekend or next and I have a Whistler trip planned with a condo for Aug 31-3. Let me know if you are interested in riding the ham, or joining our trip.

Devil's gulch is a somewhat hellish climb, but great downhill. It's in Cashmere.

Been down in Santa Elena Costa Rica for the past week hiking and zip lining. Bouts to gets some info on local MTBing. I've seen a few of the rides here which are nice, but I may looking into shipping my own ride down with some spare parts.

Sorry, my post wasn't very clear.
I head back to the states tomorrow, I'll likely return here in 2-3 months.
I'm sorta trying to explore C. America and S. America with a strong possibility living part time in Latin America in 4-5 years.
That will give me time to pick up the language and develop some cultural sense.

I went through a travel agency for a package.
Depending on what time of the year I've seen flights for $500ish-$900ish round trip.
Housing can be really cheap here. I'm considering using a host family (I met down here) or getting an apartment.
There are several spanish immersion programs that I'm looking into.

Default Tiger Mt trail work, and after...

I, along with 17 other people, went up to Tiger Mt yesterday to help work on the trial that is being built from the top radio towers down to the start of Preston Railroad. The trail is awesome and coming together nicely. Here is a vid shot by sea-scooby with him following me in the last half.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rUCrR...ature=youtu.be

Get down to the bottom and find that some assclown lowlife POS did this to my car.

Thought I would put this out there as a word of warning. Heard that Thursday's work part had some car break-ins with one person's house being robbed because they stole their garage opener.

bummer to hear about your car, but that trail looks like a ton of fun.

Anyone want to do an NWIC trail day? There is a lot of trail days for Tiger still. My weekend schedule is tight, but maybe an weekday evening.

Finally gave Stevens a whirl. Hated at first but I was expecting it to live up to Whistlers standard as that's where I've been riding all summer. Enjoyed it by the time I left.

The high elevation and open trails led to really loose sections and the limited trails meant breaking bumps EVERYWHERE and rounded lips on most jumps. Def has potential but needs more Aussie lift girls.

fun place. doable even without the shuttle. the road gets pretty rough up high.

forgot to show my new (to me) ride:

transferred over the Crossmax SX wheels, RaceFace Atlas FR, Code 5 brakes, and ODIs from my enduro. Definitely a better jumper, but not as terrible as an AM bike as I thought it would be. My first ride on it was Tiger and have to say it worked out pretty well. Raising the seat and reducing the travel put me in a better pedaling/climbing position than I had on my enduro. I cleaned sections on NW Timber that I struggled with on the enduro.

Of course, I'm getting a beat up Totem for cheap which is going to throw that part out the window. It's nearly free since i'm trading an old wheelset that I don't use. Maybe I'll be able to get my hands on a totem 2-step down the road. Oh, the reason i'm interested in the totem is for those Stevens Pass days. I want to be able to ride my own bike there.
