dude honestly i wouldint buy "any" HID kit. i always hear of people having different problems with them, and the are not really recommended for our cars, either try to retrofit some HIDs into your headlights or just buy some 09 sti hid's and wire em up!

or you could do what i did and convert your whole front end just to have hids hahah
jk no but seriously read up on it in the electrical and wiring section

This belongs in eletrical and lighting, not ext/int mod. If you were to go there, you would find this thread:

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=664361

Also, search. Really. This is getting old. There are eleventy-billion threads on HIDs.

HID kids are JUNK. you need to do a retrofit....This is coming from someone who didn't want to believe what everyone was telling me about them. I Now have a nice kit installed, and the beam pattern is ****ing HORRIBLE . Do yourself a favor and just grab the OEM parts you need for a full retrofit and be DONE with it.

My Hella ballast and Philips bulbs lasted 4.5 yrs. And 4.5 yrs of running as daytime running lights at that (wiring issue, the DRL fuse was pulled long before the HIDS were installed). That ought to tell you the difference between quality parts and the garbage you bought.

don't do it.

get hid projectors from another car and then get d2s hid bulbs and ballasts.

it's easy to swap hid projectors in the place of halogens. get some rx8 projectors if you can, they may even bolt right in.

MarkMarv, I have the same optics as you. I had a kit installed and am
happy with the results.
You could buy new projectors and spend $100s more.
There is value in these kits.

Give it a rest man. You should stop responding to every HID thread with your garbage information. Trying to get that post count up, huh?

All the parts for a retrofit can be sourced for either the same amount of money or slightly more than a garbage ricer kit. And the parts would be OEM and last about 10 times longer than a garbage ricer kit with SO much better results.

just make sure your ballasts are grounded properly then it shouldn't flash, i've been running on aftermarkets for a long time. Most common issue is the ballasts if not grounded properly, they may burn. The bulbs will be fine. But mind you if u use the incorrect projectors, the light will not be efficient or may affect other drivers.

Thank you for recognizing the faults of HID kit. Now get yourself some nice HID projectors In the end, there is no proper HID kit for halogen optics!

I would advise you to stay as far away from Jotech as you can. They are the Vivid Racing of the Honda world. They are known to screw customers over and steal parts off cars and customer possessions left inside. The entire shop is shady, esp that idiot Kenny.

Sorry for asking, is there a personal issue you have with us or Kenny for you to flame us like this? The statement you made is far from the truth. I hope you could include more facts in your statement.

But then again, you are entitle to your own opinion. I apologize for my rant...

Sorry everyone - we barely have time to get on any forums but just have to make time to clear up any misconception about us. Thanks

Jotech has it's history. Talk to a multitude of former customers if you want to work on an issue that has been around for years longer than you have worked there.

Just my 2 cents.

Hey, this is Kenny. This is a pretty bold accusation. I would love for you to explain about the stealing and screwing part. I'm here 6 days a week - let me know directly about these problems if you have time.
