I finally got my runs together a little better this last weekend. I got myself 2 runs of 11.2, yea I know Im supposed to be kicked out for under 11.5, I got the whole, "dont come back until you get a cage, 5 points, firesuit" I went right back in line & got the same 11.2 at the same trap of 124.5 mph, sometimes traps just dont make sense, I got a 127 on an 11.4 earlier. best 60' I have ever got was a 1.60

^^thanks!! Our first run totally suked, i believe i got a 2.1 60', and ran a 12.0 @ 121 lol.. Second run wasnt so bad with a high 1.6 60', and a 11.5 @ 121.. Short shifted 2nd and 3rd really bad tho i just didnt wanna screw up my run since it felt like a good launch.. I believe i shifted 2nd and 3rd at like ~6.5K.. #rd run would have been my best but i bounced off the rev limiter in first gear, it was my best launch tho which pised me off..
Last run tho i managed a 11.3 @ 123 tho, so IMO not too bad for a first time at the drag strip on race gas.. Just gotta get it all together for 1 run and i think very high 10's is possible.. The 85* weather didnt help much out there either, that's another thing that would help out greatly if they still did night drags... Pretty good day tho, KB improved his ET by .2 and i wasnt too far behind him.. |

I was shifting at about 7000 at the least in every gear and 7200 at the most, My first run I also screwed up hitting fuel cut in first going wayy too far to 7500 <-- thank you fuel cut for saving my dumb a**

you are like the millionth person who's said that to me & STImo over the time we've had our car w/ kits put on, actually, I have NEVER smelled nor slipped my clutch once in the whole time I've had the car & I bought it with 19k miles stock, people really dont know what the stock clutch can hold, I know it shouldn't and I know others who haven't been as lucky as me, but mine I promise is doing just fine, but also Jon from HB Speed has told me he's tuned (dyno'd) 650whp cars still with their stock clutchs. ^^same here, didnt smell my clutch even the slightest bit after 4 passes on saturday.. Clutch has ~50K on it and is still going strong, not slipping at all.. I do revmatch tho whenever i downshift and drive the car alot better than alot of other people i have seen drive.. IMO that's what saves the clutch alot, revmatching, etc.. On the launch i dont slip the clutch i let it out REALLY fast and break the tires loose and let the spinning tires take most of the torque instead of not breaking the tires loose and havng the axles/clutch take most of the force..

I DO wanna cage mine, because thats what we do here at my family buisness Area P/ Alliance Fab, anything metal fab, even if it comes down to building a whole chasis and suspension, capable of whatever. but not for 1/4 purposes, This car is an ONLY road race car, I think I might go out once or twice more just to get a high 10, but after that, Im sticking with Time Attack competition only and that would be the reason for the cage

^definately has a 10 second pass, one of us just has to get everything together for one run.. And i think i might wait until winter to try again unless there's a nice cool day on one of the track days durning summer, because 85* weather doesnt help one bit and as it gets deeper into summer i dont see the weather getting any cooler..
But yea IMO a 10.8-10.9 is for sure possible with either cars.. On one of his 11.2 runs I was actually a decent amount ahead of him from the start, had about 1/2 car just from the beginning and it would have grown to ~1 - 1 1/2 cars by the end of the 1/4 if i wouldnt have hit my fuel cut.. IMO tat would have been a 10 sec pass but i messed it up. Oh well, i cant be mad with an 11.3 my first time running race gas at the track. |

that had to do with your .016 r/t, haha, great job on that 1,
but yea, cars are very equal, with my weight reduction (lil things) & 18's & header, and your boost being 1 more pound up, few extra lbs, and 17's w/ 225's but the 245's did help me I think your forgetting, you didnt forget that last time when we were thinking of the differences, I wonder if my -3.1 camber hurt me at all with the tire not completely being on the ground? btw -- HB Speed tuned both of our cars, You reading this Jon? |

^^i cant believe my dumbass forgot to take out my jack/spare etc.. That's another ~40-50 lbs just right there ;(..
But yes Jon from HBSpeed in Socal did a GREAT job tuning both of our cars.. I definately cant complain, been running stock motor for ~35K miles now with 400whp and got this race gas tune about a month ago, ran it a couple times already and its holding together great!! Jon is the man, there's not too many people out there running these times on the stock blocks.. It would be interesting to see what a professional driver, specifically the one from PR (whats his name again, alcrudo or something??) could run in one of our cars.. |

we were kind of next to where they let you in at when they ask you your run group, next to the port-a -potties. right next to and accross the main lil road from the bleachers, closest parking to get in line once they call us. we were parked with phazewun & he was with SilverDC, So it was 3 black subie's, 2 (04-05)sti's without wings, and 1 (06-07) wrx with an sti wing
we were in group 3, I seen a few other subie's there, which were you, I seen a few silver sti's and a few look like wrx's that were blue, but 1 of those was an older guy (sti) I met last time. and I knew kellygnsd I just met, but it seemed like the other subie's drivers were just punks, we tried to get 1 or 2 of them to stop & park with us, but they just drove off and didnt even respond to the "high, whats up" we attempted to give them |

at the beginning of the day 6-10am i was sitting with reuben (i think) from Grease Monkeys, then after that i was parked back by Kelly and Infamous falling asleep in my car.
I was in group 1. black sti with the 5 perrin wing stiffi's. i wasnt being too socialable as i felt like hammered shiiite and looked worse.....sitting there sweating bud light all day. |

I did see you, you were in your car for a few mins by where we were parked my car was right there, cf wingless trunk and cf oem hood, with Advan RG'2 super aggressive, sound familair? you did look like you were either sleeping recently or super tired when i drove by you right there, my car was right next to yours for a while, oh its a few different colors if that helps, my driver quarter panel is a little messed up, I have blue sideskirts, with a silver bumper, driver door, driver front fender, on a java black 04 sti, looks like frankenstein
