Scalini's is an Italian restaurant near my place. I have a friend who works there and hooks all of us up ... just ask those who have been to the last few meetings at my place . I'll provide my house address later this week and people can use MapQuest if needed.

Hey! Rich,

If I have time on Saturday, I might stop by for some Table Tennis (Haven't play that game for years!)

I don't think I'll be racing with you guys (it will be nice to check it out what you guys have done to your cars, so I can do the same when I get my STI), but if you guys want to go to the track I'm happy to attend. I just don't want to fry my clutch by launching my S. I prefer to drive my car it intented to be - On the track! Can't wait for the STI to be out! I hope they might have some info at the Atlanta Auto Show today? I'll snap some pics.

Are you taking good care of my G-Tech? You need to show me how to use it (I never had the chance to use that thing) Say hi to your bro for me when you see him!

Dennis

I heard rumors that some clubs are getting track times at RA for cheap ... like $70/day. I'm so game if I can do RA for <$100/day. Yes I still have your GTech ... I use it all the time ... well at least when doing mods. . I'll play anyone in table tennis ... got to represent. Deadbolt you coming, what's your real name?

Hey Global,

I've just read you thread on the race you had with the M3; that was pretty good! But how fast will the WRX reach (top speed)? Does the WRX have the speed or rev limiter? (sorry, just don't have the time for research). I have got my S up over 127MPH after turn #7 on RA, and that was my first time on the track running with the slow group. I was just curious how well the WRX will do on the track?

What about brakes? I heard the stock brakes are not really up to the task? I think Wilwood have a kit for the WRX with 4-pots caliper. I have those on my CRX!

Ross you still coming? Dennis I know the WRX can do 135mph w/out a problem and I think we peak around 140mph. I've done 135mph once and that was on a country side road in a 55mph zone trying to catch a group of WRXs and S2000 last time at SDR. It's not my thing since 135 in a 55 is asking for it. Yeah most stock braking system in a <$25K car isn't meant for track or high speed racing. Wilwood is a definite improvment. Chris, is that your name, the guy we met in the theater that night? I told you as long as you check the board you'd find my postings.

Not true, Chu. I can think of many cars <$25 with awesome brakes for the track. Type R is the first one that comes to mind and I know theres more. The biggest problem with the wrx's brakes is the oversensitive ABS even after you change out the tires. I just ordered my stage 1 brake upgrade(f & r pads,ss lines, and DOT4 fluid) yesterday and it should be here next week if you and Shane want to help me slap it on. Stock brakes with my power and driving style can be dangerous if I'm not careful. Later.

If you want brakes I would strongly suggest the Stoptech kit, phenominal quality, even Gary Sheehan lvoed them on his race car. I have them for mine, (if I can ever get the things put on.)

But anyway, they are beeeutiful!

I've been looking into the Stoptech but can't afford it at the time so just went with some pads, ss lines, and better fluid for the time being. I'm still on stock wheels so I need to get some 17s before a big brake upgrade. But if I decide to go with the stoptech kit, Bill better hook me up.

Default DOT4 Fluid?

What type of DOT4 brake fluid are you guys using? It's for daily drive car, right? I was just wondering, because some of the racing fluid will just suck up too much moisture for street use.
Any of you are using the ATE Super Blue??? Any comments on that? I'm thinking of changing the fluid on my S2000 as well, it get real hot on the track!
Thanks!
