Default my axle is jammed in my diff = Bad?

i know the axle is supposed to slide in and out of the diff, well the outer part of the boot... should i be concerned my left side isnt but my new axel is sliding in and out , the old one doesnt slide at all ... - thank you, Brett

did you put the clip on the end of the axle. its a c clip that expands in a grove in the diff to lock the axle in place

i got the axle done by a shop, the right side slides in and out about a half inch, my left side axle doesnt budge. i just think there is something wrong with the left axle because it seems to make a knock on and off throttle

are wanting to work on it your self, it would be an easy fix, on the end that goes in the tranny, there is a nich for a c clip, then line the axle up and force it in the front diff until it "clicks" then it should feel like the other side pretty solid, if you need a reference pop the other side out with pry bar, make sure you drain the tranny first.
