Default Mfr's of large, straight CF wings?

I'm looking for a very large carbon fiber wing for my car. RTA classing limits it to 68" not including the endplates.

Plenty of people make 3D (curvy) wings, like APR's GTC-200/300/500. But I've been surprised by the lack of simple but very large wings.

What's out there?

Frank

They will make you pretty much whatever you want, just be prepared to pay for it. There's also Crawford Composites and the Bimmerworld race wing.

thanks-wow. Those bmw guys have it good- look at the selection of lips/airdams! So much truly track-oriented support vs. the cheesy street/appearance stuff we get. Maybe I should start making subaru track products...

Yeah it would be nice to have a selection of good, functional aero parts. I have fun doing the research and making my own though.

There's a pretty good thread on Corner Carves where a Porsche guy built his own rear AL wing. Rib and skin bonded construction. It's pretty cool.

Yea well its also the money thats spent by those guys, hell even evo guys.

I've spoke to alot of shops and they dont carry crazy subaru parts or dont really feel like developing them, since most subaru drivers dont seem to spend as much as evo guys.

Make one. A foam core is easy to make using a hot wire cutter. Find some R/C airfoil plans for a wing used at your speed range - use that to cut some wood wire guides.

Then just slap a shell of CF or glass over it - only need a couple layers. Glassing a wing is super easy.

Remember to mount the airfoil upside down.
