i wont be able to check back with this thread for a few hours, but my boss needs her 60k maint dont on her 06 g35. dealership wants 280 for it. if anyone wants to do it for 200 let me know. typing this in a hurry so im not sure what all the 60k includes but im sure its googleable. definitely includes a tranny fluid and motor oil change, fuel filter change, spark plugs, check belts. the 280 at the stealership would be parts+labor so the 200 will be as well. still a decent amount of money for not a whole hell of a lot of work. not sure if 200 is too low so counter-offer away.
P.S. this is my BOSS. please dont do this if you don't know what you're doing. i realize this is a minor maint but if something goes wrong, its my *** on the line.

Ouch, I only see this turning out bad for you. You are right, anything bad is on your head. And for what, a lousy $80 savings. I hope it works out though, but $280 for a 60K service is pretty good. I would have guessed it would have been more for a G35. Good luck pleasing the boss. Next time try sexual favors instead. I'd imagine parts will run someone about 100 bucks, so there is a solid 100 bucks to be made here for a couple of hours of work. Not bad. Last edited by kpluiten; 06-03-2009 at 02:00 PM. |

![]() Yeah, because your boss would have total grounds for firing you if her car got screwed up by you doing her a favor. You don't really have anything to worry about. |

$280 for a 60k on a g35 is actually really cheap. i remember a customer wanting to get a 60k done on their nissan and it was going to cost $300 for the transmission fluid alone.
