Hello all. I am moving from Columbia Missouri to Queen Creek, and had a few questions for you locals. I am bringing with me my 06 Speed6, 04 WRX wagon, and possibly an FB and was wondering about smog testing. See, where I'm from we don't have such a thing! I've been building nasty rotary powered cars for years, with no issues because we live in the sticks.(no really) Now, we (GF Crystal, Dexter the Great Dane, and I) are moving due to new jobs and I get wind of this smog stuff....Oh no! The speed6 is basic bolt-ons with no tune yet(waiting), the wrx is "stage 2" on 93 (which by the way I hear is not common out there? (Downloaded a 91 oct AZ tune last night) and the FB is just nasty.
I usually have an FC, Starion, or something else, but sold the last one when we decided on AZ. So, I guess long story short....how does SMOG testing work. I know, it's kinda silly I don't know this yet and we are moving very soon. We were just hoping on getting some info from locals.I am looking forward to getting out there and hitting up some track days! Dustin.

Welcome. There are a lot of us in the queen Creek area and we have weekly meets. Check out the San Tan meet thread to meet more of us. Also, to everyone else, we ought to make an Arizona Smog test sticky so everyone knows what's up. We're getting these questions about once a week. I'll volunteer. |

I wouldn't go to the San Tan meet unless you want v6eaterwrx to touch you where you pee.

Why would you leave a place like Missouri. Maybe it's because I've only been to STL, but I frickin' love that place.

Girlfriend graduated from mizzou, and is a Vet now. Landed a nice job in Queen Creek, and I am looking to move again anyway( I get around). So...yep.
And the question was for 93 fuel, it's everywhere here...all BP stations. It's all we use, unless we are tuning something a little more aggressive...then we just drive down to the Phillips 66 and get 110. Yes, they sell it at the pump....why am I leaving this place! I am looking forward to going to the meet/greets. |

We have 100, and 110 at pumps here, you've just got to find them. And since you're moving to queen creek and planing on modding, you can start with switching over to E85. Hellllooo baller fuel.

Here's a map of e85 stations in AZ I just threw together.
It's not finished yet, but all the stations I know of are on there. http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?hl=en...80cca3be67813f List form: http://www.e85refueling.com/location...tate=AZArizona Last edited by kpluiten; 06-06-2009 at 09:53 PM. |

How about a link for a the conversion on these cars? Parts needed and all that jazz. I've had some friends that have done it on bigger power cars, but most have switched back. Some even had bad experiences....whether it was car or builder I dont know.
