Talking Heavy rain today and open sunroof / thanks God for co-workers

Who would have thought that it would rain so badly today around 4pm.
The early afternoon was pretty warm. I left the sunroof half open, so it wouldn't be too hot inside, once I got out of work in few hours.

Anyway I took the company CargoVan and I went to the O'hare airport to drop off some freight at Nippon Cargo Airways. On the way there I realized that I still have the sunroof open and it starts to rain a bit.
I called my manager and asked him if they can cover up the sunroof with something. Cardboard box would do fine but they had no way to keep it in place without taping it to the roof.

After I dropped off the cargo, the rain really got bad. I started swearing, wondering if I have fishes swimming in my car yet.

I pull in the van into the company parking lot and what do I see....?

Thanks to few of my co-workers, my car got shrinkwrapped left to right, top to bottom, over and under. Which left the inside water free.

That is the best use of shrinkwrap I have ever seen.

I was still chuckling about this when I went outside and noticed my window had been left down in the driveway... drivers seat is soaked.

I need to shrink wrap my seat now to keep my a$$ dry!

I think this deserves to be in the general forum.
What do ya think?

I know my co-workers had a lot of fun doing that since I'm so proud and cocky about my car. Plus I work for one of Toyota of Japan company. Three of them shrink wrapped my car, took bunch of pictures with the digital camera. From what I heard everyone from the Vice-President of the company, down saw the car in that state.
One of the pictures is set as a desktop background on my menagers computer.

Anyone think that this could be the next subie of the week?

I plus some co-workers did this to a co-workers car and did a real "Supermarket" shrink job. No loose ends plus we prevented the shrinkwrap from sticking to the door handles by covering them with vasaline (sp?)

Funny thing was it rained that day too, problem was it was pooring at 5pm and he didnt have a coat or a clue what we had done until he got to his car. took him a good 15mins to get all the crap off, by then he was soaked through.

It took a day or two before he saw the funny side of it !

Jeff, a 3rd gen Eclipse owner, was the brain of this operation.
I just giving him the credit he wanted.

Jeff, Chris and Jim actually wrapped my car up tem minutes after I left for the airport. Everyone else in the company was watching.

Unfortunately Chris got cought red-handed, as you see on the first picture. I hear that he was the main force behind the shrink-warp "I'll show you how it's done". When I confronted him today, I got a following respone to the picture: "I didn't do it. They just left the Shrink-wrapping machine there and I was taking it back inside."
