Tack Kumho MXs onto your list (assuming you can get them in your size). Great tire for the money, I'm probably going back to them instead of RT-615s this year. I liked the 615s, but I'm pretty disappointed with the treadwear and I miss the predictability of the MXs. I knew when they were going to break.

I've got zilch experience with all the other ones you listed, though.

Bridgestone Potenza RE-11's
118/tire (i think)
Firestone store/tire rack

Cooper Zeon ZPT
88/tire (i think)
summit racing

first one is summer only

second one is all season, but a very summer oriented tread pattern

I have both in 225/45R17 size mounted on two different cars and like them both. The RE-11's are the sickest summer tires i've ever had.

I assume you mean the Kumho Ecsta MX - I added that to the list.

Now to look up the tires Dirty25RS was talking about.

Thanks for the info so far - Keep em coming!

Kumho 712 has been discontinued for a while. I run the Sumitomo HTRZ III on both the Subie and the Honda. Good tire with good treadwear.

The best summer tire you can get for the money is the Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star Spec- $129/ ea in 225/45/R17.

I've used Falken Azenis RT-615 for 4 days of autox sessions and I like them so far, but they wear out fairly quickly.

I'll definitely try Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star Spec next.

I love my General Exclaim UHP's

I have the G Force Sports and I like them a lot. Real sticky and have had them for 20k miles and still have decent tread left.

So it looks like I am coming down to

Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star Spec (added to the above list btw)
General Exclaim UHP's
Sumitomo HTR Z III
or
BFGoodrich g-Force Sport

Do any of you know a place that can beat the prices I listed for these tires? (I'm trying to find the best bang for the buck.)

Also, what is your experience with the tred wear on tires like the;
Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star Spec
General Exclaim UHP's
Sumitomo HTR Z III

(Thx chase for your input on the g-Force Sport)

I am just curious as I would not want to replace the tires @ the start of each summer.

The way Phoenix summer heats up and cools down will probably put lots of heat cycles into the tires. IMHO it would be a good idea to replace summer tires once a year to keep up with the performance.
