One friend of mine... One of the girls that worked at the dealership know how to speak English and helped him out getting his car....

My biggest issue right now is just finding someone to help me communicate with the guys selling the cars. I've got a few of interest, and pretty much have one in the bag, but getting help hasn't been easy.

Hey old_duwel will a dccd trans out of a 96 gc8 fit in a 93 cause I'm thinking about buying one and swapping out my old one when speed factory puts in my new clutch and rear welled diff?

Yes, it will fit!

Both of those years are phase 1 motor/drive train setup.

Are you on Okinawa? I didn't know speed factory work on subaru's now! If I was there, I can help you do it and get it done in less than a day.

As soon as I get it over here, waiting for my wife to complete her prevent class. Couple days! It's a 98 version 5 with 50,233 kilometers on it... Turbo timer, exhaust, coilovers and some terribly ugly wheels. Completely spotless minus a 2 little rock chips on the front bumper an a little fade on the black trim around the rear window.... How much do you think I should have paid for it?

Yeah I met u at the drags and they said there going to do mine and if ur will to help do the work that would be cool so it would cut down on cost just let me know

I can give you a better opinion if I saw the car... But 50,233 km is pretty good. Sounds like the car was hardly ever driven.

Yeah man, super clean! The engine is spotless, still has the original red paint on the intake manifold.

Sounds good, make sure to do all fluid changes.. Anti-freeze, oil, tranny gear oil, rear diff oil

Guy said he just flushed all the fluids, but on that note, what are you using as far as gear oil and engine oil? I've always use amsoil synchromesh for my transmissions and mobile1 for engine oil...

I have always heard at "Friends don't let friends use Mobile1" I used it once long ago... I think it breaks down to fast or something... I started using Rotella for the last 3 oil changes.

As for the tranny, I use the subaru extra S. there should be plenty of that stuff at subaru dealerships. I heard Amsoil is good for subaru trannies.
