Living on Courtney driving a 98 WRX wagon. Currently looking for a new OEM steering wheel (Momo) and drivers (right side) door panel. I have checked about as many salvage yards as I can find and no one out here seems to have any Subaru's. If you know where any are out here in salvage yards or what not, please, any help is appreciated!

Why not just stop by Upgarage to grab a used aftermarket momo and then get the adaptor from Autobacs? Whole thing will cost less than $100 and you can do it all yourself in like half an hour.

As for the door panel ... good luck and just keep checking typhoon motors or like Miyagi's junk yard. Kind of hit or miss for OEM stuff. I will keep my eyes open though.

How do I go about disabling the airbag light since it will no longer be connected or will this not cause any problems? FYI, just found a steering wheel, but my airbag was too big, different versions, so it is off searching again.

You don't need an airbag, just don't crash or get hit....infact. If you could just design an invisible shield array that would probably be your best choice.

At speeds we don't travel here on this island, I agree that we do not need an airbag. But, my experience has been that the annoying airbag lights appears if the system is messed with. How would I go about disabling that annoying little light?

Find out what load it works under. If the sensor go off when a current is removed you could add a resistor to the circuit to make it thinks there is one. If it needs a current you could wire it into something constant. There may be a way to disable it like I did my seat belt beep by simply turning the key opening and closing the door etc. Or you could put black tape over the light because the only real trouble with it is that you are annoyed by seeing it.

Does anyone know what PSI a 98 automatic WRX wagon should be pushing? I installed a Blitz boost gauge and it is showing between .4 to .5 which I believe is around 7 PSI. Is this too low? It has the stock TD04 in it with aftermarket catback exhaust and a header which are the only mods I have noticed thus far.

See my confusion lies in the fact that my WRX is an automatic wagon and someone here on island told me that his manual sedan was pushing about 10-11. He mentioned that if I was able to find a different ECU, it would probablly help out a lot. I found one in a salvage yard today with numbers:

Z4

22611 AC120
A18-000 D5

I have not looked at my ECU yet, but wanted to know if this would be plug and play and if it might help out any seeing as I do not know if this is from a manual or auto and mines is an auto.

Also, after checking through some replaced hoses I stored in my trunk, it seems one still had this restrictor pill inside it. I re-installed that hose and we shall see if that corrects the low boost issue.

Just an update, I reinstalled the hose with the restrictor pill in it and am now boosting between 12-13psi. The gauge shows between .8 and .9 so I am good. I thought there was something seriously wrong with the engine or turbo for a little bit.

link to pics/info...

I dont want to buy it but I'd like to see it...like going to a strip club and just ordering drinks.

nvm, I think I was just looking at it over at Zeroyon. Assuming you have the same account name in both places.

Well, I just got here today (Okinawa) and am in the process of getting everything situated, then will be looking for a ride or two, depending on if my car in AK sells or not. Hope to meet some of ya'll and get an overview of the street hangouts, and chill places, etc.

I'll be here for the next 3 years

Dream Run has a white bug-eye STi you could check out. You're much better going with a GC8 though, there are no GDB's in the junk yard in the event something goes wrong.
