Finally found a car, and looking forward to figuring out where everyone hangs out etc...Hopefully I'll have the new ride out this weekend.. yea I went away from subies, but, I still have mine in AK for the time being hit me back and let me know when everyone gets together and possibly where if someone has the time. Right now, I'm staying on Kadena, until I get my house assigned to me..

Hey all,
Been on Okinawa for 3 1/2 years and still have 4 1/2 to go. Just had another addition to the family, so I am selling my S14 and have already picked up a 00 B4 Legacy twin-turbo. This is my first suby. Was wondering where to get parts from and where everyone hangs out at? I have been to Sanjouz and up garage before but I was looking for silvia stuff so didnt notice anything for suby's. Any help is appreciated.

Check out the next rcca auto-x event and bring the cars to burn some tires. they have a website too but I will ask around and find out when the next event is and post it. Usually about every other month up at Nago. Just make sure your car is in good working order with decent rubber still and bring a helmet.

I'm on Kadena and now currently driving a 99 STI RA Ltd. #450/1000. i use to own a 94 STI for 6 yrs until i got into accident. I've been on this forum for a long time, even when i was station at Misawa 99-04. My first subi was a 93 WRX wagon when i got to Misawa.

maybe one of these days we can get like a subi meet or something with a BBQ at Ike island or Okuma!

Todd, i didn't think you where still checking this site out. it's been awhile since i heard from you.

you should stop and bull**** i was probably over there with some of those guys. i know lots of subi owners... one guy with a nice 2000 STI GC8, GDB top mount intercooler and etc. he doesn't do the internet thing but we hang out. i told him i want to do a photo shoot of his car at Ike or somewhere nice on a good day.

I don't know if this other guy is on here but he has a 2005 STI Spec C. it's really nice!

Yeah, I still check in from time to time. Saw there are more subies here on Oki but no thread or unity here so I figured this thread might help get some of them together to share local info and maybe some drives or something. Saw you a few days ago in the new one. Looks good man. I gotta come see it in person. You should see mine now. Its getting fast. Over boosting a bit but once I get a bigger waste gate it should get it back under control. I will post a funny pic later when I can get home and get to my photobucket account.

Here is a car show by RCCA. They host the auto-x events where you can get out and play and it is run by engrish speakers so it is more gaijin friendly. Check the rcca website for details and registration if you are interested.

Here is the cut and paste version of their add/show info:
What - Car Show
When - April 3rd
Where - Marek Park
Who - SOFA Status Only
Fee - FREE ENTRY

Springfest, an event to call awareness to child abuse and to raise awareness for child abuse prevention, is being held in Marek Park on April 3rd. The Schilling Center is putting this event on. They have invited us, the RCCA, to cover this area of the event. Come out to support a wonderful cause and to show off your cars.

The RCCA is the focal for the car show aspect of this event which is being held for a great cause. There is NO entry fee. Yes, you read that right. ZERO entry fee. There will be trophies awarded to the top cars. More details on the classes will follow shortly. This is going to be a straight-forward car show. Cars will be on display, they will be judged. No other surrounding events will take place in conjunction with this part of the Springfest event.

More details will be coming soon. It is for a great cause and entering will only make the event better. It's free to enter, so enter for the fun of it.

Once again, this is only open to SOFA Status members. Military and civilian. SOFA Status only. It is free to enter.

To enter you car, contact me. Do not plan on just showing up. All cars entering must go through me.

If anybody knows anybody that may be interested in entering this car show, contact me.

The "me" in this red text = jerk racer on zy BTW. If you show up to the Marek Park and look for the black FC that is him.

Yeah, I don't do the car show thing either but it may be a good spot for some of the new guys to meet some car people and maybe get into something besides the stupidity that causes lock downs.

Here is my over boost pic from last Friday. Might be time for a bigger wastegate.

There seems to be a lot of views for the Okinawa thread. Either a lot of fellow members come look or a lot of the same members view this thread. Kind of makes me wonder if we can push to make our own regional area. Just cause I see subaru's rolling around Kadena/ okinawa everyday from left to right!

I don't know if there are enough members to have a whole regional thing but there certainly are a ton of subarus running around KAB lately. And not just B4s either. I was cutting through there the other day and saw several WRXs and a few WRX wagons too. Even saw a B4 on royal the other night. Need to start getting some of them out to gymkhana and auto-x instead of running the streets. For all the subies out there I only see like 2 or three that ever participate in events. Kind of a waste having a car like that and never playing with it.

Ever since I got mine I have seen a lot of them. Auto-x would be fun but doing some rally would be a lot more fun...

All you have to do is set the date and then spread the word. We have a holiday coming up at the end of this month.

A couple guys on zy do some unofficial rally stuff and the rcca has events for auto-x like every other month. There is a drag event coming up soon but not scheduled yet. I think the rcca thing just happened last weekend so maybe it won't happen again for about 6 weeks or so. There are also karts on island with two tracks for them. They are a bit expensive but quite fun.

Best bet is upgarage honestly. I don't see many ver 5/6 spoilers for sale even on OYS.

Oh and go for the double stacked wing! I've only seen it once here on a ver 5/6 Type R here

it depends on what youre looking for. most of the cars laying around are wrecked, so body parts can be a pain to find. what exactly are you trying to find?
