Yah i've been looking on okinawayardsales.com but with no luck. I'm really not looking for the complete system. Just a cat-back will suffice. I want to free up some sound. I'm not looking to dump money into a car i'll use for a few years (then go home to my baby )

Another option is, if you've been here for some time and know where to go, lets link up!

Sounds good to me. I'll show you where upgarage is at. They can get you one from a different store if they don't have one. Hit me up at konfusion19@hotmail.com

Cervantes, i'll be shooting you an e-mail soon!

Jaxscuby, you could always check out www.okinawayardsales.com and www.bc-used-cars.jp which is a used car lot that sells to Americans with reasonable pricing. This is one of many lot like this. So stay open minded.

But yes, i've seen tons of Foresters around. Subaru's here are absolutely nothing special what so ever, so i guess it gives us the upper hand when shopping for one.

Cars move so fast that you're probably better off just looking once you get here. A car could be here now, and gone by the afternoon.

That forester has some minor body damage and a bad knock. Might b the fuel in it though. Payless motors has some nice cars too. Also right outside gate 1 kadena. I just got a 01 wrx from them. If anyone knows of a good site to order parts from I would love to check it out. Besides oki yard sales. One more thing, are there any meets or car shows coming up?

I'm trying to find an exhaust for my 01 WRX. Cat-back or full turbo back, a short ram intake, and a light weight crank pulley. After I get that I will just need an ecu tuner like an AP or something similar. Those are the short term goals.

I will try to help u out once I get a little more settled in and familiar w the island. I don't really want to look at a bunch of B4's anyway. I'm sure there are some exceptions but I've seen way too many already.

well i have an older undersized aluminum crank pulley
have a cat back.

factory air box is better than short ram

i use ecuflash & romraider to do opensource tuning.

Please pm me for cat back price. I prefer full size pulleys just due to the added stress on the other systems given that the car is old. But thanks for the offer. I hear a lot about intakes similar to what u said. I had an 09 wrx w a cai and a 06 wrx w a short ram. I like the benefits that both gave me( cai performance, ram sound) and the car that I plan on putting the intake on is auto transmission so a little more power and the sound of the turbo and the boxer engine is what I'm shooting for, not really full blown power house. Once I get my wife to get a job I will b getting "my car", that one will be the real project. This one will be the grocery getter. Hope to hear from u soon.

To be honest with everyone. Whats the point of tuning a car you cant push over 60 kmh on this island and cant bring it back to the states with you?

I know everyone loves getting up to 37.28 Mph real quick on Oki but i see it as a waste.

(My opinion and i've been wondering for some time now)

Good point. That problem becomes more of an issue every day. I hope to find some good roads to play on but it seems like stop light to stop light is going to be the extent of it for now. One thing is for sure though, I won't let the little island hold back my thrills.

I'm sure the roads are here! But for now, its mash it and hard breaking.

On a different note, we should for sure all meet at some point. I mean, we are all on the same island..

I'm pretty new to the island so I don't really have any good ideas for a good spot but I'm down to meet up. On top of that I don't have my sofa license yet so the wife is doubling as my personal driver right now. Hopefully I will have it by Friday. U have any thing in mind for time \ place?

Nice man, easiest license to get ever. Its just a matter of knowing the signs. I'm open to any ideas as to where to meet and the time. I live in Yomitan, i'm sure a majority of you live on base? Once we figure out the majority's location we can cater to that.

Wait until midnight and go hit up Takayama or Royal Gardens. It's a blast, you'll have your share of thrills if you know where to look.

I live near foster on 58. A few of my friends have met up at American Village in the parking lot near Starbucks. There's also heading towards open road up north.
