Default Can anyone confirm that this turbo will fit my '05 LGT?

It's supposedly off of an 08 WRX, which from what I've read is a bolt-in.

The turbo will fit your Legacy, keep in mind you will need better fueling and a tune to go along with it

Thanks! That's what I figured. I'll probably have DSG do an OpenSource tune on it if I end up getting this turbo.

Yep,

Some 650cc or bigger injectors will do the trick and maybe a better fuel pump.

I don't know why you'd want to go to a smaller turbo. That's just a td04l that's been used since the 2002 wrx's. The 09 wrx's got the sti-sized turbo...

I mean, just look at the size of the wastegate compared to the rest of the housing...

Everything I've read says the '08 WRX turbo is larger, not smaller.

Look at what's inscribed directly on the turbo itself. It's a td04l. If you want to buy fine, but don't be surprised when you pull your stock vf40 and find its the same if not bigger size than what you're going to be replacing it with.

The 08 WRX's were 230hp. The 09 with the bigger turbo are 265hp. You're car is 250hp stock. Put two and two together...

this ^^. I wouldn't suggest spending time and money on buying this turbo when you most likely will see no power gains what so ever. There are other direct bolt on vf series turbos that will be in or around that same price range if you are not looking for a ton of more power.

If you swap to older VF series turbos, you also need the WRX/STi intercooler. You can also have your VF40 rebuilt with better internals (hybrid)... Not bad for the price if you are looking for a mild upgrade.

I believe I would also need the intake manifold.

Good call, I quickly glanced over it and figured it was a VF52 but this turbo is small
