Default The end of DeadBolt ?

After trying to get ahold of Deadbolt enterprises for some turbo info multiple times lately.. and having no success, i spoke with another vendor.. who will remain unnamed.. they told me that Deadbolt's owner Jason recently became very ill and is in the hospital.. they said that Deadbolt turbo has stopped fufilling vendor orders.. and thus ultimately Jason's illness has put Deadbolt out of business..

if this is true, I'd first like to send out my condolences to Jason, I hope you get well and that these rumors are just that- rumors..

if it is true.. well guys.. so much for your "Free Rebuilds for Life" guarantee on all Deadbolt products..

im having a hard time believing this to be true. Anybody able to confirm this?

I have done more research on this subject than anyone on NASIOC. I have put feelers out high and low, left and right, up and down and NOBODY that knew Jerry (not Jason) knows 100% of the real story and no one probably ever will. I can say that he is not in business now and never will be again. He did for awhile work with existing customers to refund money or send turbos back out, but I'm 88% sure that all that is gone and he is off the turbo map forever now. So if you are wanting his business now, forget it. If you have a claim of some sort with him....good luck getting it worked out, but I wouldn't hold your breath.

wow. well im #1 sorry to hear that.. and #2, I hope that Jerry/Jason or whom ever was ill and in the hospital (or whatever the real story is) is healthy and I wish them the best.

So much for ZILLA turbos, Monster Ports and FREE REBUILDS for LIFE.

That sucks. I've been reading their website, thinking about the monster td04. Apparently I should stop considering it. The website (though amateurish) still has a bunch of rave reviews, prices etc, and still LOOKS functional... guess not though.

Moderators / WRXRallyBlue : any chance you would consider taking the "16G: FP or DB?" link OFF the "Subaru Turbo List" thread? It's an awesome list/FAQ, but the summary of that link, IIRC goes something like "buy a DB because of free rebuilds for life". It seems they don't exist/don't rebuild/sell anymore sooo....

The company is long gone and there is no reason to bring this up again.
