Thanks guys. I feel great and am a huge believer in crossfit. I've never seen results like this before. I don't dread going to the gym anymore. I hate when I miss a class no matter how hard it might be. I know I'll never be a superstar athlete but I feel good that I'm making myself better. And the people around me are awesome. I'm one of those people who've always had a gym membership but never went because they never enjoyed it. It's really weird how addictive crossfit is.

I left the box tonight feeling better than I have in years. I'm still high and I'm not even sure why.
Today we did: 800m run Warmup of sprint drills (I think?) followed by some gymnastics where we did various somersaults onto a mat from varied heights. Then that was incorporated into a drill of a somersault from about 3 feet onto the mat, then jumping up onto a high bar and having to essentially monkey bar across our rows of pull up bars. It was challenging and crazy fun. WOD: 16x Wall balls & burpees 20 seconds work w/ 10 seconds of rest. |

It's very hard to bulk serious muscle on CrossFit as programmed by mainsite or most boxes. It's far too catabolic. Strength-focused affiliates like Rob Orlando's Hybrid Athletics program specifically for that. Shorter Wods, heavier weights, less 'met-cons', regular lifting sessions.

CF Football is another great resource for strength-focused CrossFit workouts. John Wellbourn is a former NFL player that seems to really know his ****.
