I need to just ask him not to adjust me, and save $25 a visit, then it'd only be $65. But I LOOOOOOVE the nice crunch

hit the box between scheduled class hours to do some strength work playing with strict presses.

the press was one movement I was really shocked how little strength I had when I first started. took me a few months to hit 100lbs (December). Got 115 up today and should have gotten the 120 I was trying, but I'd done some 10rep stuff 80-95lbs just prior.

the actual wod today looked like

3rnds
50 WB
30 doubleunders
10 muscle ups

LOL.. 150 wallballs.. um I'm busy.

SOHP is a really slow mover for most lifters.

Did Klepto today and sweated more than I had in a long time:

4 rounds for time of:
27 Box jumps, 24" box
20 Burpees
11 Squat cleans, 145 pounds

Post total time.

i need to find out the answer to this as well. if my insurance does cover PT, i am going for sure. i do a lot of mobility work on my shoulder but i think that having a professional work on it can really make a difference.

ART>>>>>>>PT. I've had zero luck in my life with PT rehab-ing soft tissue injuries (I had a shoulder issue, and wife has had bad plantar fasciaitis (sp?) ), and PT has failed to help either. ART, on the other hand, has helped both. I've had this guy (he's a lot like BacDoc in their practices, IIRC) fix problems with my sciatic and piriformis too.

That's a null statement. Same as Reid > Detective.

ART is simply a technique... of which physical therapists can use...its literally a 3 day course.

You just went to a ****ty pt

Anyone ever do squat cleans and end up with a pinch between the shoulder blades the next day? Solution = just rest that area?

If you were letting your upper back round on the first pull, it's certainly possible you have a little tweak. I'd just try rest and NSAIDS for a start.

I took it for 3 weeks and had the most thorough practical exam as any I ever had in school. The technique is very specific according to Dr. Lahey and he only officers teaching cert to those willing to follow/teach his protocols. If anyone learned it in 3 days I would be shocked if they're worth a damn or are actually certified.

I did it Saturday. It's tough. First round I got 71...I was like yeah I'm on pace to kill this, then ended up with a 50 and 51 for a 172 total. Not bad, but I felt like I rested a lot. The FGB format is a mind-screw. You have to transition quickly and get right to work if you want to put up a number.

I did it on Saturday as well and ended up with 213. I think the only reason why I even got that was because of my strategy. I knew that the burpees would kill me so I did take it easy on those and on the thrusters and then blasted through on the snatches, box jumps and pullups.

Better than me...

61
50
45

I was already toast from yesterday's rounds of rowing and push presses, and my legs couldn't muster anything for the snatches or thrusters.

Obviously all strength-biased. Not much to really advise you on since you can't get much stronger between now and Saturday.

Eat. A lot.

For the thruster ladder wear weightlifting shoes if they are available to you.

If you have a belt and they allow it, I would definitely wear it on wod 2.

Good luck and go kick ass.

Looks more like a Strongwoman event than a CF event. Have a blast - stay fed and hydrated during the events.

We did one of the worst WODs I've ever done last week -

That confused me when I first read it, so here's how it worked:
You had 3 minutes to AMRAP 12/12. Rest 1 min, repeat 6 more times.

I managed 46 reps in the first (I went 75#, not 95#. I tried 95# and hit two reps before knowing that bar was WAY too slow already ), then 36, 20,15,12,20,19. The big drop is after the third round, my hands tore to shreds. Right hand by the middle finger knuckle, and the whole second pad of the ring finger, and left hand on the palm under the ring finger. I stopped to tape, and was SO GASSED. I was gasping for breath and took those two rounds very slow, finally regained some lungs, and the last two were better...

I think she should have called it Fran Gone Bad...it's set up like FGB, but with moves worse than Fran - those TTBs really crush your breathing.
