The other day on the 10/8/6/etc cleans I found myself sitting on my heels on one of the cleans, luckily it was only 135 so I was able to get up out of it.

I never seem to have a problem with thrusters, but I dont keep the bar as far back on my fingers like I do squat cleans and front squats.

Took a part of the SealFit workout today:

The warmup was 21-15-9 of Pushups, Pullups, and Squats. To make it a more intense workout, we did 3 rounds of it, which I think comes out to 135 reps of each. Great Monday workout.

Did "JMU 300" version 3 today 36:12

50 Plyo's after the 50 Hang cleans @ 135 was nasty.

Helen - 11:34, finally feel like my Metcon is back catching up instead of completely sucking. Blasted thru Round 1 in ~2:30 but kind of hit a wall in Round 3.

Same. Leaving for a PT intensive school this weekend so I've tacked on cfitendurance the last month or two. The endurance WODs are suprisingly difficult

Invented one today - "Quest for 60"

Do 1 muscle up every 30 sec for 30 mins....if you can.

I reached 41 and fizzled out.

Well, after 6 months my affiliate closed up shop. The last workout was Saturday, then we loaded up the equpment into a van and toasted with some beers. They just couldn't get enough people in the door (there were only maybe 7 regulars).

So, I'm back in my pretty corporate gym. I haven't set foot in this place since ~March, but it hasn't changed. I was really hoping they got some bumper plates or at least a real pullup bar, but no luck. Remembered several of the same people, and they don't look any different.

I was having internet issues when I was trying to plan, so today's workout was a little scatterd:

3*shoulder press/3*push press/3*push jerk - worked up to a few sets of 95lbs
double tabata row
Pullups/Dips - 5 rounds, no rest - didn't time or count reps
KTE*bunch

Don't know if you guys have seen this, but I thought it was hilarious. Have been involved with CF for about 2.5 years and unfortunately some of the koolaid drinkers are just like this. :-)

cool dude...I assume you used a different SN over there because I dont recognize that one. But the shoulder, it's gotta have surgery, that's for sure. Any workout that involves lots of pullups and pushups, I get very bad inflammation. Sometimes I fight through it....sometimes the pain is unbearable and I quit.

I think there will be a lot of affiliate drop out coming up. We have two where I live now. One was started by a DIV 1 athlete with all kinds of physical educational merit and education. The second was started by one of her students that after less than a year thought they'd start another box at a cheaper price. Well.. it's not cheaper and they just don't have the experience. Seems like this is happening all over the place.

I like the koolaid video too, pretty funny and spot on for some of the dudes. Seen the Tony Blauer "how not to get shot" video recently posted on a WOD? Dude with the Crossfit "we train to kill" shirt or whatever... best representative ever...Not to say I'm a big guy by any means but I certaintly don't wear shirts like that. A sheep with a mane does not make a lion.

Kind of an interesting read on why Greyskull quit his affiliation

^^^ Very interesting article. I knew that this would be happening, too. Way too many affiliates without proper quality. Show up for 2 days, pay $1000 and BAM!!! You're a coach all of a sudden.

Did "Ryan" today

5x
7 muscle ups
21 burpees

Oh, and I did a "chipper" today:

Quote:
A chipper is a string of different exercises done one after, once through for time. It is named chipper because, afterwards you feel like you have been through a wood chipper.

Today's (from the 2009 games):

15 reps 100/155lb BB squat clean
30 Toes to bar
30 Box jumps 20/24" box
10/15 Muscle ups
30 PushPress /PushJerk 25/40lb DBs
30 Double Unders
15 reps 95/135lb Thruster
30 Pullups
30 Burpees
300' OH Walking lunge with 25/45lb plate
My time: 47:21. OMG I was dead to the world afterwards (and during).

yeah it is, but even with good insurance I'm still too cheap to have surgery. But my wife is starting to nag me about it, so I'm sure an operating table is in the cards for this year...maybe.
