I did Barbara yesterday. If you can get it down, adding lime juice to your water helps with nausea.

Do you guys do the WOD on the website, the WOD at your local box, or just pick and choose what you want to do?

I always do what our instructor has come up with, unless I feel like doing a SealFit. Every now and then he gets them from the website, but mostly comes up with them on his own.

I played flag football yesterday for the first time in months. I felt great. Faster, more agile, better endurance. I could have played another two hours. This is fun.

Tonight:

Deadlift 5-3-2-1-1 adding weight each time to build to max. Can't remember the progression but ended on 315. Tried 335 but felt my back curving and didn't want to push it.

3X AMRAP for 3min, 1min rest:
1x Power Clean
3x Overhead Squats
5X Burpees

65lbs and did 5, 4+4 burpees, 4+3 burpees

OH squats are a killer, hard to keep my form on them!

Last edited by chrisdeaner; 11-09-2010 at 07:28 PM. Reason: 315+20=335, not 325

I've done better, but my shoulders and arms were a bit tired from doing my 5-3-1 bench workout right before.

It sure is! Yesterday I wore the belt with the 45 lbs plate, but I couldn't kip with it because the plate would just swing into my nuts. I'm a moron for not even considering putting a KB on the belt to give me more room. I'll try that next time.

Haha. I've always deadhanged weighted pullups. Usually with a weight to a chain to a belt...never considered how I'd do it with a kettlebell!

I've seen videos of CrossFitters doing weighted pullups by squeezing dumbells between their feet. Never tried that myself, so I don't know how hard/uncomfortable it would be.

I've done those before but sometimes the DB slips out of your feet and it's a pain. One thing about it though, your abs get a killer workout.

I do it similar...but just flip the dumbbell on its end and put the top end between my feet.

My max single rep weighted pullup right now is 110lbs. I love weighted pullups.

Yeah, that's what I meant, C. A dumbell stood on its end, then squeezed between/held by your feet.

To me, it's much easier than a belt. I can hang from the bar, grasp the weight, pullup, come back down, drop the weight.

It's also super easy when it comes to something like:

3 weighted
5 dead hang
7 kipping

Because then you can simply drop the weight at the end of the 3rd and start your dead hangs.

If I don't have a belt and chain I like kettlebells. I slip a foot thru the handle as deep as I can and hold it on with the opposite foot. I just can't get dumbbells to work for me once I get above 50ish lbs.

Yesterday was brutal on me.
Walk 1 mile.

one half mile with 50lbs of kettlebells
one half mile with 50lb sled

Thats pretty much half my body weight for reference. I'm not a huge dude, or even a normal size one.
Then i went to a show and didn't get to bed till 130am. I'm so beat. I want to curl up under my desk and sleep right now.
