FGB is bad dependent on how hard you push yourself...Bear is brutal because you can't put the bar down or you fail.

Linda just sucks period.

Ah, ok. I still hate Filthy Fifties the worst. Linda I can get through pretty well, but I also train with heavy weights 3x a week. I actually think Fight Gone Bad is one of the easier ones.

So I made up my WOD: 5 rounds of 10 reps burpee, 35lb kb swings, 45lbs dumbbell thrusters....10:32. Wasn't bad, I had more in the tank but my heart rate was up pretty good at the end.

Last weekend our gym brought in Coach B for an olympic cert. If you have the chance, I strongly recommend going - it was excellent.

Today was my first experience with tabata. We did Tabata Something Else.
Pullups, pushups, situps, and air squats. 8 minutes of each exersise 20 seconds work, 10 seconds rest. Whew...

I did jumping pullups, and everything else rx. Total of 334 reps. 100/62/58/115. I need to go in early one day and work on band assist pullups so I can work towards the kip.

The tabata workouts are killer. They are one of my favs though. So much intensity.

Today we are doing 4 rounds: 20 squats (135lbs) and 400m run. Good by legs! Sucks too cuz I hear tomorrow we are doing something like 100 thrusters with 5 burpees every min on the min until you get to the 100. If that is true holy crap

Tabata sounds nutty. Is that another name, or some sort of acronym?

Today our workout was called "fail":
3 rounds max reps until failure every 2 minutes

dead hang pull ups
back squats (135/115)
push ups
2 min rest

was rougher than I expected it to be. My dead hangs went 7, 6, 4. Last round I was displeased about. Overall 126 reps at Rx.

I've officially become competitive with the "very fit" girl at our gym who has been doing CrossFit for ~5 months. This is the 3rd workout in a week I've beat her score. It's a nice level to strive for.

So, I really want to start working crossfit workouts into my routine, but there are so many "Named" workouts, and I'm not savvy enough to figure out a good way to search through them. Today is my "pull workout" day, and I'd like to supplement with something that would hit back and biceps well. My legs are shot right now, so a squat intensive workout won't do it for me. Need something upper body, and mostly pull-muscles.

Can you give me some websites / search advice? Or just suggest some workouts? The crossfit.com website hasn't yielded me much, but i may just be noob-searching.

You can use www.noscrolls.com if you create a free account. They have a "search by exercise". I use www.beyondthewhiteboard.com but it costs $3/month.

If you want a back/biceps workout just do 100 pullups and 100 back extensions (for time of course). That'll do the trick.

so today's WOD says 2-2-2-2-2-2 of thrusters... does that mean do a 2 rep max , rest 2 rep max , rest and so forth?

if so, how long of a rest?

Yes, 6 2 rep max sets, build up to max weight on the last set.
