Default New 1/8 model of a McLaren F1

From: http://www.collectorstudio.com/

Finally our brand new 1/8 scale two foot long McLaren F1 LM model is ready. This model was done based on the ultra rare Papaya Orange XP1/LM in conjunction with McLaren and is fully licensed. It was made using CAD & CAM files from the factory and is absolutely perfect in every detail. Only 99 have been made, each one complete with carbon fiber case, edition plaque and plexi cover. The engine bay opens on special gas struts to reveal the awesome miniature V-12. Each model comes with a book on the car, signed by designer Gordon Murray. A few images are below.

Available for CAN$6250 / US$5595 / 3950 + shipping.

Except for the cooling intake ahead of each rear wheel:

Although, some of the press material for McLaren does show images without the intakes. The descriptions and pictures of actual cars I could find have them though.

LMs only have the duct on the right side only. It's for the oil cooler.

It's a driver/passenger com system. It doesn't even come with ear protection.

That would explain why the press material pics I found don't have it. They're all of the left side of the car. I just figured they altered images of a standard one before the actual production version was settled.

This is actually somewhat true. Each variation of the F1 (whether road car, GT, LM, or GTR race car) has had slight variations between prototype and production models, and even amongst production models. This is mostly the result of upgrades, and owner preference when placing an order.

This is bad ass... the F1 LM has always been the ultimate car of my dreams. When I was younger, I had the UT model of the F1 LM, but my mom hired a cleaning lady to tidy up our house, and for some reason she decided to run a rag over all of my die-cast cars and the wing got broken off.

Yeah, I should've called the INS on her for that. My F1 LM was never the same without the downforce

I have most of the UT 1:18 scale Mclaren F1 collection, the Paul's Model Art 1:12 scale version, and Murray's 'Driving Ambition' book. This sooooo sweet, though hard to justify buying even to to a Mclaren F1 nut like me. Well worth the asking price it seems though, given attention to detail.
